We had a lovely selection of very fresh oysters and a margarita and engaged in friendly banter with our waitress/bartender. We sat at the small bar area but better views are available by the windows. Our favorite oysters were the Eros, they were so delicious we ordered a few more!

Wonderful food and service, the oysters were super fresh and the salad and smoked mussels were delicious. We loved everything we ordered, so sad we had to leave town the next morning and couldn’t go back for another amazing meal.

Everything about Jolie Rogers was incredible. We almost didn’t stop in because of how few reviews there are – and it would have been a true mistake. A relatively new business in their third season open, Jolie Rogers is raising the bar on Maine seafood dishes both in quality and innovation. Using all local and fresh ingredients, every dish is made with care and presented beautifully. The service was amazing and the views were spectacular. Can’t recommend Jolie Rogers enough!

Thank goodness for Jolie Rogers! We were some of the suckers next door waiting in line for almost 2 hours for a lunch that almost certainly wouldn’t have been worth the punishment, when I took my fourth walk around the area I came across the oasis that is Jolie Rogers. Quiet, upscale, plenty of open tables inside and out, with people just relaxing with a cocktail, no line. I looked at the menu which had everything we wanted, including options for my aunt who is vegan. Their lobster roll was easily one of the best I’d ever had, and I was pleasantly surprised to find the toast with mussels to be even better. Everything was so high quality and beautifully plated. Oysters were fresh as can be and the spicy margaritas hit the spot. I will make a point to come back here the next time I’m in Maine!

Andy is an absolute gem and I am so happy to have found him! He brought his shucking skills and oysters to our cocktail hour at our wedding this past weekend and it was one of the best decisions that we made! Our guests were obsessed with him and he is so knowledgeable! He explains all 3 varieties of the oysters that he brings and truly makes it an experience for the guests. I was worried that not many people would want to try the oysters- but I was so wrong! It was a HUGE hit. If you’re considering having him at your event- it’s a MUST.

This is the best oyster bar I’ve ever been to. Andy is a world class shucker, owns a small farm, has worked in farms, and is just a good dude to boot to boot. We had a great experience and I highly recommend making a stop here if you want the real deal.

Dined at Jolie Rogers over Labor Day weekend with a small group of oyster lovers. All of us agreed that these were hands down the best oysters we have ever had. One member of our group even made the comment that he felt he had never truly experienced an oyster until what Jolie Rogers had to offer. Yes, they are that good.

You won’t find a lobster roll here – there are a handful of places for that literally a stone’s throw away – but the quality of everything we tried was top notch. An obvious focus on fresh, local ingredients that reflects the beauty of seasonality. Andy was extremely hospitable and highly knowledgeable about his craft as an oyster farmer and preparer, and was happy to answer any questions about his process. Additionally, he’s a great source of local info for anyone who may be visiting from out of state like we were.

We were seriously entertaining the thought of going back the next day for lunch if they weren’t closed for a private event! Will be back for sure any time we find ourselves in the area.

Highlights for us were:
*3 dozen oysters (and their beautiful presentation) – cleanest shucked oysters you will ever have, and the most flavorful too
*Scallop ceviche – you know something is good when you order a plate to share, and then everyone wants an order for themselves. Delicate flavors that compliment each other without ever distracting
*Drinks – great selection of local and less local beer and wine, and also a fantastic Bloody Mary made with in house sauces
*Dessert – locally made small batch ice cream sandwiches. We got all 3 flavors and all of us had a different favorite because they were all so amazing

Edit May 2025:
Third time back at Jolie Rogers since my original review and we loved the new additions made for this season as well as some of the other dishes we hadn’t tried before!
*Chowder – amazing freshly toasted bread that paired well with a good blend in the chowder itself. Not the potato-fest you get at some other places
*Salmon roll – possibly our new favorite. Deliciously tender salmon with a great medley of veggies. Love the capers!
*Salad – super fresh beets, radishes and greens. Nothing fancy to it, but a good salad should be on the simple side and this delivers
*Blueberry cheesecake jar – a fun sweet treat that goes down much lighter than a normal cheesecake. And being Maine, the blueberries were incredible

I had the wonderful experience of trying The Jolie Rogers Raw Bar at the Maine Lobster Fest this weekend. The raw oysters, along with the broiled oysters were huge and delicious. They were meaty with a wonderful brine. The house made cocktail sauce was like no other I’ve ever tasted. The little neck clams and clams were also incredible. The team working were polite, friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and when I walked by the stand multiple times always waved and said hello. Outstanding experience!!!
