The morning staff were friendly, helpful, polite and hard-working. The food portions are a great value, and the space is well thought out for breakfast/lunch.

I went to Happy Hour for $5.00 appetizers and boy that was a mistake! The chicken tasted old, it was in huge pieces, I found a chicken bone in it too. They probably use left over Rotisserie Chicken for it. I felt sick after eating it too and had to take some antacids. Hy-Vee Market need to use fresh food. I couldn’t finish my appetizer. It tasted horrible!

I mean, it was clean and nice with very nice staff. And if you want to run around the store to figure out what you want to eat and then go back to that counter and wait to buy what you want, it’s cool. I really liked it much better when they had a menu. They still have to bring the food in to people anyway, I don’t understand and I don’t like having to run around the store and shop for my own menu items. I get a drink at one and an entree at the other and a salad at another and a dessert somewhere else? Nah.

Had the Country Sampler and coffee. Everything tasted great. Only complaint wish the biscuits and gravy would have been hotter, were just warm when received and cooled of fairly quickly. Other than that it was great

I stopped in here for lunch on a Monday afternoon and ordered the blueberry and bacon (Gouda) cheese burger. The burger was perfectly cooked and the flavor combination was magnificent. The dining area is very nice. However, I didn’t like the fact that you have to place your order in the store. There were a lot of people that came in right behind me and I felt rushed to order and unable to fully read the menu. You then have to go in, find a seat and get your own drink. Still, that burger is worth coming back for.

It’s inside the store. Good hot and cold food options. Busy but the staff worked effectively so it didn’t seem to take too long to receive my order.

Good food at affordable prices, great Friday live music night (especially when it’s out on the patio) overall a relaxing way to spend a Friday evening. My only criticisms are the following: 1) service can be spotty sometimes. There have been times when I sit at a table and don’t get served until I flag down a waiter, and 2) Often some of the upper-level HyVee employees use this place as an after work bar, and they can get obnoxious sometimes. One time one of them (a chubby-ish guy with short brown hair and black-rimmed glasses) knocked over my camera, saw that he did it, and just left it there. He knew it was my camera and I was recording the music. But, like a douche, he treated it like it was nothing. So that was an unpleasant experience that to this day upsets me.
But, overall, it’s a great place well worth supporting. Especially on Friday nights. Support live music and local events!

We used to visit this place every time we’d come to town. ( 6 times a year) This last time was a disaster. We were told to prefer and pay at the express food bar, which was fine but, when numerous people walk past you and don’t acknowledge you, it’s a bit frustrating. We asked for help at the deli, and a young man was VERY rude, sarcasticly rude, and condensending. Waitress apologized over and over, not her fault. She was awesome. Did was not nearly as good as it was in the past.
Don’t think we’ll be back.

Food was great, but the service was atrocious. We were there for 2 hours with kids (this is not an experiential dining place), made the mistake of ordering dessert and 20 minutes later I had to track down the waiter for our bill. Better to purchase at the counter and bring in to the “restaurant” to eat. It would be much faster.

Really good food, great service. Even got a consultation on fixing a culinary mess. I like I can get food from the kiosks in the store too, bring it in and add other food or just enjoy it. It’s a favorite dining spot in an area with crazy few choices in that whole section of town–sad on its own!!
