I woke up early and asked Google to find an open breakfast spot. Cove Delicatessen was suggested. It was about a 15-minute stroll from downtown in chilly weather. They have self-serve coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. They also have bottled soft drinks and juices. I ordered a triple bypass hero that had bacon, sausage, egg, and cheese on a large sub roll for $12. I think you could serve two people as it was cut in half and was pretty hearty. I ordered a hot chocolate, so my total was a little over $14. There are no tables inside or outside, so you must take food and drink to go.

I was a big fan on Cove Deli – my favorite sandwich shop in the area. Until I went in the other day and I was shocked they charged me $1 for lettuce on a sandwich, an extra dollar for two slices of tomato, and $0.50 for a couple slices of onion. That’s $2.50 for about $0.25 worth of toppings that are free everywhere else. I get that businesses need to make money, and that times are tough, but nickeling and diming customers like this ensures I won’t be returning as a customer to the Cove Deli again.

Cove Delicatessen is an amazing place where you can enjoy delicious and fresh food. The restaurant offers a wide range of dishes, from sandwiches and salads to soups and desserts. Separately, I would like to mention the friendly and attentive staff who will help you decide on a choice. The atmosphere in the cafe is cozy and relaxed, which creates a great mood for lunch or dinner. I recommend Cove Delicatessen to anyone who is looking for delicious food in a comfortable environment.

I just have to share this experience I had today because the people who work here are so kind. My son is autistic and gets overstimulated when we go into stores so he was touching everything. They just smiled and let me direct him to the register where he started grabbing a banana. The woman who was working the register handed him one sweetly, and then he got upset and said I need two, and started having a fit. I tried to calm him down but it was no use and I was about to just picked him and up and leave but just she handed him another and smiled. It was such small, nice, sweet act of kindness, and it just says a lot about the place. You guys are great thank you.

I just ordered a simple turkey and cheese sandwich on a roll and it was just okay. They have a wide variety of specials and stuff that I wish I had tried because they sounded very good, next time I am in the area I will probably try it out. They also have a lot of chips and snacks that you can buy that are right next to the line area for your convenience

My husband and I, on our honeymoon, had breakfast (pancakes) here and purchased additional items to have on hand. The pancakes were absolutely delicious. We didn’t get enough syrup, but not a big deal. The ladies behind the counter did seem to be doing more talking than working and that was a little off putting, but I’d recommend.

Editing my original review. They will randomly stop doing burritos. And I love their burritos. But not having a burrito hurts. Also I ordered this wrap “el Diablo” and it was the greasiest thing I’ve ever seen.
