A fun very local bar with really good burgers and homemade fries. Good selection of beers and two kinds of white wine. Customers are very active in local hockey and pool tournaments.

Beer in a mug with a delicious, simple flat iron burger and home style fries. This place is perfect! Read my other reviews and you’ll discover I live for places just like this…

Old school and clean. It’s a Monday evening with a few locals, but the bartender won’t treat you like a stranger.

We were in the mood for a great bar burger and that is just what we found! Friendly service, cold beer and a perfectly cooked burger. The owner also showed us the coolest photos from before the 50’s when the bar didn’t even have indoor plumbing! We will be back.

Walked in, and were immediately told this was a “working man’s bar, cash only”. We got the basic drinks and burgers. The burger was great. There were several menu items not available. There was one man working the bar and cooking the food, it was insane. It was an interesting atmosphere.

Great little neighborhood bar with plenty of charm. Food and drink options are plentiful. We will go back next time we are in Marquette.

The cheese burgers are the best in town. I have tried 27 other burgers in the UP and this is definitely in the top 3. The fries are good as well. The atmosphere is that of any local neighborhood bar. A must stop for the best burger Marquette has to offer !

Strong drinks, good food, nice atmosphere, and the elder lady behind the bar is efficient and hilarious.

This place is an institution. I almost feel like a Google review is betraying some unspoken rule. Don’t come in here all touristy with a gaggle of kids and bull*hit. Don’t curse either.
If what you are looking for is a solid bar burger and fries this is the only place to be. It’s exactly everything you want and expect a classic bar burger to be. The fries are delish and the chili was good too. Go somewhere else if you want fluff and what not come here to grab a beer and burger that doesn’t complicate or disappoint.

Mike cooks a great burger and the fresh cut fries were the best I’ve had in awhile. Cold 51K at a reasonable price makes a good stop. Nothing fancy, just an old time neighborhood bar.

I’m super disappointed with this place. I’ve lived in Marquette for about 3 years now & some of my friends suggested this bar/grill and talked highly of it. I went for the first time today and was dissatisfied. The food was amazing but the service was very poor. The lady was super rude, she didn’t bring us waters right away with our menus, and after we ordered our food, waters, and beers, we still had to ask again for waters. We were also the only ones beside one other table that was there so it’s not like they were crazy busy. The good food won’t make up for the poor service, I will not be returning.
