JJ is a friendly, kind, accommodating bartender who makes yummy drinks! You really enjoy his company! I had an espresso martini with a roasted marshmallow and the ube drink. I forget exactly what my husband has but it looked fancy, lol! Thanks for a good time, JJ!

We took a friend visiting from Colorado out for cocktails, and decided to bring her to Kenpai—my favorite spot. The place isn’t too big, but that’s exactly why I love it: cozy, chill, and always welcoming. It was a rainy night, but as soon as we walked in, JJ, our favorite bartender, completely brightened the mood.
JJ hosted our night perfectly. He has this easygoing energy and a real talent for figuring out exactly what you’re in the mood for. My friend is super picky about her cocktails, but somehow JJ nailed it on the first try and made her a drink she absolutely loved. He kept the vibes fun the whole night, and we ended up with great drinks, great conversations, and some amazing pictures to remember the night.
If you go to Kenpai, look for JJ—he’s the reason the night went from rainy to unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Delicious cocktails and some of the friendliest service I’ve experienced in a while. Jorge was so welcoming and we enjoyed the conversation with him. They have a drink with ube in it that is divine! Highly recommend the potato croquettes as well. A very fun, intimate, creative bar.

Definitely my top 2 bars in town for cocktails. I used to go to Montrose for cocktails but this place is closer to me now. The place is a little small but I like it cuz it’s cozy and perfect for going there just by myself, or maybe with another friend or two, to chill and enjoy the drinks.
Everything on their menu that I tried was great. However you should try something not on the menu too. On my last visit, I asked the bartender to surprise me with something herbal, tart and strong for my last drink of the night. She made me a Last Word, which was not on the menu, and it was perfect.

Great Japanese themed bar but very limited space inside. Seating for 10, the rest stands. But awesome vibe and music (hip hop)!

Enter through Hando, and then use the door on your left to enter Kanpai Club.
Have to admit, it blew me away. Didn’t know what I was stepping into, but the flavors here are so elevated with each bite. Then you add in the dipping sauce takes it to another level.
We were there at happy hour, so each plate was only $5.00. Can’t beat that!
The environment was nice, peaceful, and able to hold a conversation without any issues.
Service was on point, attentive, and knowledgeable of the dishes.
Can’t wait to go back.

Incredible cocktails and super great bar bites menu. We loved the wagyu gyoza and beef skewers. And looove the authentic t Japanese vibe inside.

Great little spot on the opposite side of Hando Sushi. I gave it three stars because while the cocktails are unique and adventurous they just didn’t hit the taste mark for me. They serve happy hour and late night bites. The happy hour bites we’re very good. I’d certainly go back for a drink and bites.
