The BEST eggrolls I’ve ever had!!! Sooo crispy and delicious and fresh. We could barely eat them fast enough!! They are authentic Thai style, which means they’re a little smaller. I’ll definitely be back.

This place is situated in the woods a few miles west of University of Alaska Fairbanks. A beautiful drive to get there. The food tastes great. The quantity is satisfying. Most amazingly is the price with the food you get in interior Alaska. Pad Thai was ok. Every entree comes with a spring roll except the curry. I think they would benefit from some NEW menu postings.

Lovely location, open sign is visible from the road. Simply drive or walk up to the window facing the road to place your order. Chef will let you know when your food is ready.
Fantastic portion size. Great price points. Food was very hot & made to order within minutes! Fantastic experience!

We had Pad Thai and Red Curry, both were very good but on the sweet side and not spicy. I normally would prefer spicy and not sweet, but it really hit the spot. The portions are huge which is really nice. I think each dish could feed two people. There is a new menu and a new phone number.

It’s easy to pass by on Sheep Creek Road, just past Ann’s Greenhouse. I was on my bike and stopped for a quick meal. There are two picnic benches but no awnings, and they could use another trash bin. If you’re hungry and you want hot food it’s adequate.

One of the best Thai food restaurants I have visited in the US. The fried egg roll is delicious. Only have to-go option but there are nearby benches.
Updated after moving to Fairbanks for one year: valuewise the best Thai restaurant in (or near?) the town. Not comparing other dishes but their pad thai is definitely the best.

Great food at a great price. Sam’s Thai food never disappoints, and I love that I don’t have to drive all the way to town to get it!

To me, Sam’s Thai is absolutely the finest of the what, hundred Thai restaurants in fairbanks? Maybe it’s the proximity for me living atop Ester Dome knowing that if I don’t want to make dinner at home, I can just take the short ride down and pick up any of the 3 curry options which I wholeheartedly recommend. Although do ask for extra rice, you’ll need it

I don’t know if we caught it on a bad day or what happened but we ordered 3 things and were disappointed in all three. First off the drunken noodles were very sad and didn’t even have onions, the red curry was only chicken and zucchini, and the tom yum lacked any tomatoes (I’ll admit my bias here, as they are one of my favorite parts). Furthermore, I got a hair either in the fried egg rolls or the dipping sauce. Very nice man operating the hut but that was about the only positive.

Our favorite orders are Panang Curry, Pad Thai, and Thai Tea! Great egg rolls too. Hope this place never goes out of business!
