I love this place!! I have been here a handful of times and it never disappoints. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. They have a great selection of cocktails and food, everything I have had so far is amazing. The brie grilled cheese is one of my favorites. This has easily become one of my go to’s in downtown Fort Wayne if I want to grab a drink or quick bite.

This place has the coolest vibe and is so multipurpose – dress up for date night, or dress down with some friends for trivia night or live music and some drinks! There has not been anything we’ve tried we haven’t liked yet (onion petals, deviled egg flight, and spinach dip are all SO good) and the drink menu is diverse without being overwhelming.
Service can be a touch slow, but the staff are all friendly, thorough, and happy to make recommendations or describe the menu items. Finding parking can be a bit of a pain, but that’s to be expected in this part of town.
They also host a ton of events (their Facebook posts trivia nights all the time, and had an excellent live singer when we went last night), and there is some absolutely gorgeous artwork around the venue for sale from local artists.
Overall, we love The Abstract. It’s a little gem that we have visited multiple times now and will definitely be back for more!

If I could give zero stars for the food, I would.

The aesthetic was nice but the prices for the quality of food feels greedy to me.

I can’t eat gluten but saw that a gluten free option was available for the grilled cheese. When I inquired about the bread the server informed me that a gf bun is substituted for the bread. That is disrespectful to the gluten free dining experience to offer such a replacement at an upcharge when everybody knows you can’t toast a bun in the same way you toast bread slices. For the price, you can do better.

I ended up going with the loaded Cesar salad, which came with concepts of egg and bacon. For the price, it was underwhelming and felt disrespectful. If you’re going to charge $17 for a salad, at least put an entire egg and some other stuff on it and have ripe ingredients. The avocado wasn’t ripe yet so that was a moot point on the salad.

The waitress made no recommendations and seemed annoyed that we were there. We didn’t get checked on and had to go to the bar to get our bill.

All in all, I wouldn’t expect this place to be open long based on service and value. I don’t mind paying for quality and excellence but this isn’t it.

This local gem is everything you want in a neighborhood favorite! The food is EXCEPTIONAL! The hush puppies, deviled egg flight, flatbreads, sandwiches, and desserts are all incredible! (May they never lose their chef!) The cocktail selection is fun and varied. The service is genuine and friendly (Kim is an absolute sweetheart). They have a relaxed speakeasy-style atmosphere that instantly makes you want to stay awhile. Every detail feels intentional, from the carefully crafted menu to the intimate, cozy vibe. Even better, they actively support local artists, giving the space a creative pulse that makes each visit feel special. Late night hours make it the perfect stop after a show at the Embassy or a Tin Caps game. Wholeheartedly recommend!! It should be ranked among the best restaurants in Fort Wayne.

First impression was phenomenal! Eliza was our bartender and she was one of the best we’ve ever had! She was super personal and helped us decide our drinks! She was so kind and caring! Gorgeous interior with a beautiful bar! The lighting sets a perfect mood. We ordered the smoked apple reserve, brown sugar old fashion, paper plane pods, and the gold agave margarita. Every drink was delicious! Our favorite was the smoke apple reserve! We got the deviled egg flight as an appetizer and it was to die for! The everything bagel egg took our breath away! So yummy! We ordered margherita flatbread for our entree and it was amazing (loved the crust). Lastly, we got the milk and cookies for dessert! The cookies were so warm and delicious! It was the perfect end to our lovely meal! Will definitely be coming back frequently! There is also artwork lining the walls for sale (extremely talented artists)! This is an amazing place, especially for people out of town looking to experience a nice night out in Fort Wayne!

This place has such a cool vibe! Its very comfortable and the staff are very attentive and accommodating to food allergies. Just be advised, if you go during brunch hours (12 -3) you can only order off the brunch menu. Which I found disappointing. The staff however was awesome and very accommodating to my friend who was allergic to pretty much everything on the brunch menu and made an exception for her.

The food was really good and the cocktails were fabulous! For my cocktails, I had The Phoenix and the Tropical Tart. The Phoenix was sooo good plus the flaming suprise is really fun. The tropical tart was really sweet but still good.

I had the Brunch Burger, it was super delicious I’d definitely recommend it. My friend was able to order the Brie and Berry Grilled Cheese which looked amazing, Im going to have to go back during dinner hours just to try that!

Id definitely recommend this place, it has great food, great cocktails, and amazing staff.

Great dinner on the patio at Abstract. The patio is large and tucked back off the sidewalk. The building is beautiful though if you go inside. Loved the burger and jalapeño poppers. Great selection of non-alcoholic beers as well as alcoholic beer and cocktails.

One of the best spots to pop up in Fort Wayne! Tried many cocktails and a few bites (the flatbreads are great). The bartenders are very pleasant and attentive. I’ve been here twice now and it’s quickly becoming my go-to spot for visitors from out of town.
