Hubby and I stopped in for our first time on a Friday and we absolutely LOVED everything about it! Jessica was our server and she was very welcoming and helpful, with all the questions that we had. We ordered the cauliflower and brussels, sprout appetizer, and it was delicious..LOVE the sweet thai chili sauce. I had the teriyaki chicken bowl, and it was really good! Hubby had the steak frites and it was great as well. The maui mule was yummy and overall, we had a great experience.We will definitely be back!

Visited today for dinner after a very long day! My waitress was so sweet and kind. I think she realized I had a long day. Had the grilled cheese and clam chowder. Sooo good and house cabernet hit the spot. Thanks for giving this mom who worked a 12-hour crappy day her first meal (of the day) and relaxing atmosphere.

Happy hour 3-5:30 and 8-9PM. Small intimate place. More on the fancy side. Service was good eventhough there was only 1 person seating and waiting tables when we got there at 4. We shared appetizers off the happy hour menu and drinks. It was good.

The description online calls this a casual restaurant, but I think it’s a little more upscale than that. The restaurant is very nice inside but the booth seats aren’t very comfortable. Our server was attentive for the most part. At least our water glasses were never empty. My husband expected the fish tacos to be spicy, but those were very spicy. My fish and chips were delicious.

Went here for date night with the wife and so glad we did. I remember when the place was a sushi restaurant, and upon walking in, the transformation of the space was pretty amazing. To me it has a trendy but rustic look.
It was pretty busy when we went, which was a Saturday night, but luckily we made reservations. I think that’s probably the way to go since this seems like a popular spot.
The staff was welcoming, and our server was attentive and informative, given this was our first time visiting.
I ended up ordering the fried chicken, the wife got the bibimbap. We also ordered the Brussels sprouts/cauliflower in Thai chili sauce appetizer which was super yum!
The wife really liked her dish. Tasting it myself, I thought it was very good as well.
My fried chicken was good, but it was borderline overdone. The crust was a dark brown vs golden brown, and retained a bit more grease than I would have liked. And, the meat was right on the line of being overcooked. BUT… luckily it wasn’t, though it was close. Overall, my dish was tasty and the accompanying risotto and carrot puree were delicious.
I would definitely recommend stopping in if you haven’t already.

My husband and I went to Pine and Black. It was busy when we were there but we did not feel dismissed. Melissa was our waitress…..she was everyone’s waitress! She did not miss a beat. She was taking care of everyone. She made drinks, waited on everyone and was amazing! The food came out quickly and was perfect! I am picky about my food and it was amazing! I would definitely recommend Pine and Black! Staff, food and atmosphere was wonderful! There are several options for lunch, dinner in Papillion but I would pass them and go to Pine and Black!! Wonderful menu, drinks and staff!

I visited this restaurant on Jan 3rd, 2026 and it was my first time. It was 2:00p in the afternoon so it was pretty quiet. Our server was great. I ordered the fish (cod) and chips which included coleslaw. The fish was over breaded and over cooked. It was inedible. For an upscale restaurant I definitely expected more. The kitchen should never have allowed this meal to be served.

We’ve been here 3 times and many more to come. Definitely get the GOAT appetizer- it’s goat cheese, cauliflower bread and strawberry jam. Not a mix I’d think I’d like but we loved it! The steak on everything was perfect. Dreaming of our next visit! It is a little pricey but it’s so refreshing to have a place to go that we know will not disappoint. 🙂 Jenna was our server this last time and she was amazing! So attentive to our needs and sweet. Highly recommend this wonderful place!

This is my go-to restaurant in Papillion! The steak and frites are absolutely incredible. I’ve recently discovered the tomato bisque, and it’s wonderful. The drinks are delightful, and the service is consistently excellent! I also appreciate having a local spot for perfectly cooked fish. Many healthy options available. I highly recommend visiting for happy hour, a date night, or lunch!
