Its a homerun to come here. Service is fantastic (really helpful staff, especially in the mornings on Wednesday/Thursday) they’re accommodating to dietary restrictions, the atmosphere is great and its not too pricey for an organic restaurant. The waffles are incredible, the breakfast hash is great, food comes out pretty quick, they have some amazing sauces to go with. Really loved it here and will be back asap

I was looking for a healthy dining option at Legacy Place and, based on AI recommendations, decided to try Life Alive Organic Cafe. The ordering process is straightforward, you order at the register, and the cashier was incredibly helpful in guiding me through the menu. After discussing my preferences, I opted for the spicy peanut noodles and a strawberry smoothie. Once you order, you’re given a number to place at your table, and then you find your own seating. My food arrived promptly, the smoothie within 5-7 minutes and the noodles about 10 minutes later. Both were delicious! The cafe has a cool, modern vibe, and there’s a really positive, community-oriented energy. I even struck up some interesting conversations with a family at a neighboring table, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I was very happy with my meal and the overall atmosphere at Life Alive, and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area.

Walked in for the first time on a Saturday night and the vibes were great. Service was quick and friendly. The green goddess bowl was delicious and I got a free smoothie for joining the app. The blue smoothie was delicious. I left with leftovers and a new great study spot. Would love to try out for breakfast sometime as the coffee bar looks great.

I just had one of the most satisfying and flavorful meals I’ve had in a long time. Every element in the bowl was thoughtfully prepared and packed with taste. The crispy tofu bites were perfectly seasoned and paired beautifully with the fresh avocado and creamy feta. The roasted beets and vegetables added a natural sweetness that balanced out the dish, and the quinoa gave it that hearty, wholesome touch. The egg on top—perfectly cooked with a golden runny yolk—tied everything together. It was not just a meal, it was an experience. Fresh, colorful, nourishing, and absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be back for more!

This place is so elegant and the food is very much what I love and miss about working near Cambridge!

I used to get “The Rebel.” The menu has changed, but this Rainbow Harvest is nearly the same thing.

It’s so nutrient-dense and delicious, the bowls are biodegradable, and the ambiance of the place is so relaxing and yet tasteful.

Fully accessible.

Handicapped parking nearly directly out front.

Great spot, Bright and cheery outside seating. I had a wonderful sunrise smoothie. The salads are really, really good as well. I had a warm kale, avocado, mushroom salad. Everything honestly is pretty good and healthy! They have creative meals, Plenty of space for handicap accessibility. Parking you may have to drive around in a minute, but it’s a big parking lot.

My family and I went to the restaurant and we were all taken aback by how bad the food was that we made a list of 31 bad things about our experience:

1. Received a fork for soup
2. No meat available in any of the dishes. I get vegans gotta eat but a single chicken option or something would have gone a long way.
3. The staff put the wrong order on our table and walked away without saying anything
4. The staff didn’t come back for around 8 minutes to retrieve the wrong order
5. When we arrived, our table was covered in the dishes of the last people who ate there
6. Our water pitcher was nearly empty and nobody refilled it the whole time
7. The water cups are the smallest that I have ever seen in any restaurant I have been to in my life
8. The teriyaki tofu was largely unseasoned
9. There was very little tofu in the teriyaki tofu
10. The teriyaki tofu was not cooked at all, there was 0 crunch or anything. It was like eating a balloon
11. The bowl was very hot, yet the food was completely cold
12. The shitake ramen had one singular shitake in the whole thing (cut into 2 pieces)
13. The sugar in the dispenser was impossible to get out as it had all clumped together
14. The wicker chair was very hard
15. The water was weirdly sour and room temperature
16. There was very little egg in the ramen
17. The ramen was generally flavorless and bad
18. The coffee selections were poor
19. No alcohol was available
20. The eggplant order was not available
21. The spoon was visibly unwashed and dirty when we received it
22. The assai bowl was puny
23. Our menu had stains on it
25. We had to take our dishes away ourselves
26. Our ramen bowl was still half full (because it tasted terrible) when we were done and there was nowhere to put wet dishes so we had to pour it out into the compost. Very awkward!
28. The bathroom sink pours out exclusively cold water, which along with being unpleasant, makes me concerned about the staff handwashing. Given the many other review’s mentions of hair and debris in food I am guessing the staff have largely given up on washing their hands.
29. The kid’s menu is riddled with typos
30. The kids menu is tilted at a 10 degree angle and some words go off the page as a result
31. Despite there being almost no service, the tip screen still proposed a minimum tip of 15-25%, to the non-existent waiters

Obviously some of these points are more petty than others, but I do not recommend dining here. Even if you are a vegan or vegetarian there are far better options than this restaurant in the local area. Vegan and vegetarian food is full of excellent options and this restaurant is far below the standard.

Life Alive’s growth since 2021 hardly went unnoticed; Legacy Place opened in Sept 2023, and certainly looks fresh, new, and vibrant. Earth-toned wall decorations, a buzzy vibe on a Winter Sunday afternoon, and some live plants strategically placed.

The food maintains Life Alive’s usual standards for fresh, warm, and flavorful. As customers since the mid-2000s, we’ve been eating Adventurer and Green Goddess since they were only served out of Lowell. The Legacy Place location was a decent simulacrum, but felt a little more corporate and “standardized” than other bowls; we missed some elements of flavor and of the specific way the lentils and tofu were previously prepared.

Still, hardly a knock on Life Alive – you should still eat here if you’re interested in hearty plant food.

Lots of vegan options. Got the Buddha bowl and it was delicious. Then I tried the avocado chocolate mousse and it did not disappoint. The place is really cute with lots of comfortable seating inside and outside seating too. Friendly staff and very clean. They also recycle and compost which is a huge plus. Super relaxing atmosphere too.
