Everything is fresh. The BLAT is my favorite sandwich, it’s reliably good. The crab sandwich is amazing. The fries are excellent. The tasty chipotle mayo has a nice kick and is homemade. The Spanish cheesecake is superb and really tastes like a proper basque cheesecake (a true treat). The Bundt cakes are perfect too. The menu and each dish is clearly crafted with care, and the owner / chef is often on site (this makes such a difference for restaurant quality, in my experience). And the staff is so lovely, it’s always a genuine joy to engage.
They have a cute and welcoming outdoor area for eating, but we usually like to take our meal over to nearby Armistice Brewery where we pair our meal with a top-notch beer. Come on a weekday for a tranquil vibe. This is a top-tier Richmond experience.
Tri tip sandwich, fried chicken sandwich, tuna melt, breakfast sandwich were all great. Tri tip sandwich being my favorite even considering the fact that I dont really eat red meat like that. The tiramisu was the star, honestly my favorite tiramisu ever (and I’ve tried lots!).
If you’re unsure what to get, Oliver at the register knows whats good, ask for his recommendation.
I’m sad I was only in town for a few days, but best believe this would be one of my first stops if I’m back in Richmond.
It was my first time here and I thoroughly enjoyed the nice seating outside with pretty plants and heat lamps.
We ordered a salad(forget the name) it was very good and it was taco Tuesday so we got the tuna tacos.
Just as a warning, it was raw tuna which we didn’t realize, but it was still very good. They should clarify that on the menu(in my
opinion).
The cashier was very nice!!
The guy that works at the counter was very nice as always though.
