I lived in NC for 20 years and used to eat Hibachi at least once a week! Was overjoyed when I saw we had one in Ashtabula! I decided to try it this evening…. OMG!!! So delicious !!! I only waited 20 maybe 25 min for 2 Hibachi Steak meals! You would wait that long if not longer at a dine in spot sometimes…..waited in my car and relaxed a bit after a long day….. Maybe the wait times are longer when they are busy?? Idk but all I do know is the staff were extremely friendly and the food is delicious and so much of it. Can totally make two meals out of one! Well worth the wait and price. I will definitely return!

I personally was not pleased. I don’t know if it was just bad timing or what happened but I LOVE hibachi food and this was not it, the steak was awful, it was just like rubber, and it all tastes very very bland, the rice wasn’t even fried. I ordered the steak and chicken hibachi dinner and was very very disappointed. I was super excited for this to be extremely let down.

The food itself is ok but i had to wait over an hour and a half to get mine. Barely any sauce, the noodles are underwhelming and i had to make my own white rice. Definitely wont come back here as is but will consider it if it improves.

Couldn’t believe how great the hibachi double steak and shrimp were. Not a long wait, 20 minutes maybe, and we had our food ready, in hand, soon to be enjoyed. We Will definitely be back to the Ashtabula Hibachi Express on prospect by State Rd.

It’s a food truck with only one guy working. He cooks it fresh so you will wait for 10 – 20 minutes. But the cook is very friendly.

Waited over 45 minutes while another person was there over an hour and a half…. didn’t get to try it and asked for a refund which took another 20 minutes for the employee to give to me! Extremely disappointed and don’t recommend going here unless you have alot of time on your hands to wait.
