Just tried their brisket and pulled pork for the first time. Being from West Texas, I am aware of what real barbecue should taste like. Perfect smoke ring on the brisket and tender and moist pulled pork. This is the best I have found in Lafayette Louisiana. These folks know their kraft.❤❤❤

Meat seemed like it was boiled before smoked and had little flavor and then microwaved before plating to give to customers. The “Bark” on the brisket was mush. Pulled pork was decent. Ribs didn’t have much for flavor and the sausage was under cooked. Rice dressing was decent but the macaroni was worse than macaroni out the box. Bread was the best part of the whole meal. Definitely not worth $14 per plate.

It is real, honest to God, BBQ. You can tell by the aroma outside. Several people recommended this place, the BEST BBQ ever, but also said, don’t judge the book by it’s cover. It’s only a drive through window, or you can walk up to order.
Hoping the outside ‘decor ‘ was done on purpose, but after eating the brisket, sausage & pulled pork after we got home, nobody cares. HAHA
So, be glad that you are sitting down when you drive up, and then take a big whiff of real BBQ at it’s best. We got a lb. of each, just to try it out and now we wished we had gotten more. They also have sides, but we didn’t get any. Maybe next time.

Just look down to the ground as you walk to the window. Breathe deeply as you look up to the order board & order the best BBQ in the area. YUM.

This is easily one of the best places in town for bar-b-que. No liquid smoke or electric smoker, just real wood logs. The ribs and sausage were really good, and the brisket was spot on. The ribs and brisket had a great wood-smoked flavor and a beautiful smoke ring. The smothered cabbage was also a hit. Not sure about others comments, but for the 3 meat platter, we got a lot of food; and for $15 that’s a good price. The only place in Lafayette I’ll go for good ‘que!

I had the trash grits and the brisket egg and cheese on texas toast for breakfast. Absolutely phenomenal! I will definitely be going back. The portions are generous. Everything is so fresh and the smokey flavor is to die for!
