This place is long overdue for renovations, which it looks like are forthcoming but the place looks very old and run down. We were not at all impressed with the food but we were traveling so we just needed something to keep us going. Thankfully it was not expensive or I may have requested a refund. Waffle House would have been a better choice for food, cleanliness, atmosphere and service.

We ordered and waited about 45 minutes for food to go. They weren’t even busy at the time, so I wonder if they were understaffed.

This is more than a 5-star review—it’s a heartfelt testimonial. My experience over the last two weeks, while dealing with an extremely difficult situation far from home, has been completely transformed by the genuine and professional people at this location.
While the USAVE gas station and store staff provided excellent, friendly service on every visit, it was the Mable’s Restaurant waitstaff whose dedication was truly extraordinary. They are the kind of people who went far beyond their job description, committing their personal time, incredible kindness, and tireless effort to organize logistical support and facilitate complex solutions during a miserable time. Their focus on human connection turned a crisis into an unforgettable lesson in community spirit.
As the business transitions to new ownership on December 1st, I want to address the incoming team directly: You are inheriting a remarkable group of employees across both the gas station and the restaurant. The current Mable’s staff, in particular, are exceptional human beings who have built a legacy on service, heart, and genuine goodwill. Please recognize, honor, and preserve the incredible culture they have created.

I always order the same thing, but it’s always great. Service is fast and friendly. Burgers are real actual cow. Prices more than reasonable. It doesn’t look like much, but looks can be deceiving.

Okay, I usually have my fiance order takeout on his way home from the mines cause it’s not bad. Well this time, it is bad. Any person and child can see when something has gone bad, especially food. How do u put rotten lettuce on someone’s burger and not think someone is not going to look or even think this is even acceptable. Well I’m done. It’s not the first time, I let it slide because it’s a bit of a drive a way and we don’t always get mabels but I had to put a review this time because this is ridiculous and the cooks should be held accountable for laziness and possible chance of making someone really sick.

Get the breakfast skillet! The bathrooms are the worst I’ve ever seen, so don’t go on there. The beef tips biscuits and gravy were not beef tips, but what looked like deli sliced salami… Not good. However, the sausage egg and hash brown breakfast bowl was amazing! The smoked sausage was good too.

What a hidden little gem. Such a convenient spot to grab breakfast on our way home after a great camping trip! Our food was not only delicious but the portions were enough to fill you up and then some! 4 of us got out of there for just $32 and a few to-go containers. Pee before you get there and Tip well. Our server was great and so kind!

Impressed with the cook, she used clean cloves with everything. Made me feel safe. Waitress came to table as soon as we sat down and she did a good job. Bathrooms are another story, but feel maybe the store should help take care of them. We will try to come back for breakfast next trip.

Probably the best open faced roast beef I have ever eaten. Very good meatloaf too.
It’s not white starched table cloth and polished silver, but if good hearty diner fare is what you want, Mabel’s won’t disappoint you.
