First Watch is an award-winning breakfast, brunch and lunch spot, serving a chef-driven menu of elevated classics and seasonal specialties, always made to order using the freshest ingredients. We greet the sunrise by slicing and juicing fresh fruits and vegetables, whipping French toast batter from scratch and brewing pots of our single-origin Project Sunrise coffee. Freshness is never comprised, which is why we welcome each season into our menu with ingredients and flavors inspired by the position of the sun. All year long, you can enjoy craveable favorites like Avocado Toast for breakfast, Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict for brunch and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes for lunch. First Watch is at its prime! They don’t miss a beat with the virtual queue beginning our waiting process to being seated as you approach the hostess stand! With a bustling whirlwind of lively people, joyous conversations and an intoxicating aroma of hand prepared gourmet dishes passing by this is the place to be, and be seen at!!
We started with the Kale Tonic. Not to overpowering, with the portions perfectly matched it can be an excellent start to any meal. Light, cool and refreshing. Following our Kale Tonic we had to have this Million Dollar Bacon, this was a punch of flavor. Sweet maple with chili and a hint of green onions! (we ordered straight from the menu, but did ask if it could be made with pure maple syrup if requested and she said that they definitely could do that!! Bonus points if this is true!!) I ordered the Bacado Omelette. Fluffy eggs whipped into a flurry of bacon, avocado slices and Monterey Jack cheese. Sided with a housemade pico de gallo, tossed greens in a lemon vinaigrette and thick sliced whole grain toast!
First Watch is a solid 4 out of 5 stars for me. 5 out of 5 is easily obtainable if they can pay a little more attention to the cleanliness of the dishes. We received a few that were not cleaned well, minor issue as we polished them up ourselves, and requested replacement glasses. Overall a solid 4 stars!! We will return to check that Million Dollar Bacon request!!
