Unassuming fixture with comfortable booth seating dishing up traditional Chinese fare.

Let me say this I ordered through UBER EATS, so I’m assuming my experience with dining in would be different. Hopefully…I ordered through Uber eats at 1:26 p.m. and the food showed up at 3:35 p.m., when I called the restaurant the person on the phone said, “they should’ve told you it’s takes longer than normal”. Mind you that was well over an hour into my wait time. So if the business is aware nobody picks up through Uber eats they need to list that along with the option to order and tell folks to pick it up. They didn’t want to make the food over. The food was soggy, and tasted rubbery (for lack of better terms) when I got it. It was still hot when I got it, but I’m assuming the drivers have warming bags. The pot stickers were bland. My experience with both the restaurant and the app was less than favorable. I won’t order from here again….

My last review was from 2 years ago. I love ordering the egg drop wonton soup from here. That’s normally my go to but today I tried the Pork Egg Foo Young, hot and soup soup, and orange chicken. Everything was delicious.
Previous review:
Just tried their wonton egg soup. It was very delicious. Honestly wish that I got the quart size instead of the pint.

Extremely Unsanitary and Poor Customer Service
I had an awful experience at this restaurant last night. While waiting for our food, my friend witnessed an employee taste the soup directly from the ladle, then put the same ladle back into the pot and stir it. This is a clear health violation and completely unacceptable for any dining establishment.
When I brought this to the staff’s attention and asked for a refund for the soup, they refused to refund the full amount. Instead of addressing the issue with concern or apologizing, they dismissed it entirely. This lack of accountability and disregard for basic hygiene is shocking.
If you care about food safety and decent customer service, I strongly recommend avoiding this place.

I have never eaten at Hong Kong City before, and decided to give it a try and ordered the Pork Egg Foo Young combo (and side of hot and sour soup) via Grubhub. The order arrived on time, complete and still warm. The Foo Young had nice size hunks of pork inside and a nice crispness around the edges (yet properly cooked insides). I upgraded to fried rice and it was worth it. The soup and egg roll were delicious as well. There was an overall subtle sweet taste to the Foo Young, rice and gravy. Not overbearing. I’d not hesitate to order from there again.

I love this place. The food is good, and they are friendly. There is a lot of sitting if you decide to dine in

I love this place. Best fried rice and egg rolls like what I used to have back in the day. Everything I’ve had has been very good. My favorite is the Szechuan chicken it’s very flavorful with veggies that aren’t over cooked. I’ve also had general tso chicken, egg foo young, shrimp with lobster sauce, and Mongolian beef. I’ve been happy with all
Remember that this is a strip mall takeout spot. There are booths but it’s no really at eat in place, very casual. Very clean don’t get me wrong but Not a date spot

It is a good Chinese spot in the area. Price is expensive for Chinese food. They have parking in the complex.

Although I read mixed reviews, I thoroughly enjoyed my food! I had sesame chicken and fried scallops, and they were delicious. The breading on the chicken wasn’t too thick at all, and they give you generous servings. I’d 100% come back again!

This venue is in the middle of a strip mall.
I recently tried the sesame chicken from this restaurant and I must say it was delicious. The portion size was generous and it was enough for two meals. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the sesame flavor was just right. I highly recommend trying this dish if you’re looking for a tasty and satisfying meal.

I’ve eaten a lot of food and at a lot of different places. In Atlanta this is the only spot I trust to satisfy when I’m craving the Americana Chinese we 90s babies can vividly recall. I’ve lived some years in New York as well and this is one of the few spots in Atlanta that has been even remotely comparable to the benchmarks of places I would consider a go to. Bravo!!! Amazing value as well because other places will charge more for food you won’t even want to finish.
