Bright, breezy, and full of flavor, Nala’s Beach Bar and Grill is Hilton Head’s north end favorite for homemade American Caribbean dishes, refreshing drinks, and dog-friendly good times. Just steps from the sand, Nala’s Beach delivers easy island energy and soulful, in-house creations inspired by the friendly pup who started it all.

The food was fantastic, fresh, and “pretty.” The server was friendly, responsive, and thoughtful. The restaurant was well-decorated, clean, and spacious. They were kid friendly. Lots of parking. (We had French toast, eggs, pancakes, and the pura vida).

This was our first visit to Nala’s and we really enjoyed it! The restaurant is nicely decorated and super cute. We sat at a high top in the bar area so we could watch the football games. The bar area in general is great and we would go back just to have a drink and some appetizers while catching a game. Our server was also kind and attentive. He provided recommendations and answered questions we had about the dishes. We had several different items from the menu such as the whole fried fish and burgers. Everything was well prepared and came out nice and hot. The portions were very generous and we definitely had leftovers. I’m a sucker for a well-seasoned burger and Nala’s didn’t disappoint. The platter that was served with the whole fried fish was a meal in itself! The happy hour appetizers were fantastic and the plantains were our favorite. I like where they are going with the menu in having a little island flavor built into their dishes. Overall, we found this to be a very nice, casual atmosphere that caters to all types of groups. The restaurant has a beautiful outdoor area that we are looking forward to coming back to! They are very dog friendly and had a nice grassy outdoor area and pet station. This is such a nice addition to the neighborhood and we look forward to visiting during some of their upcoming events.

Everything about this place is amazing! Our server Darin was smiling and had the best personality. The food was beautifully presented and tasted just as good. The beet salad and the burger were my favorites! We sat outside to hear the band, but it started to rain, so we moved inside. Both tables had great atmosphere and lively. The manager checked in with us a few times to ensure everything was to our liking. Clean and well presented. We will definitely make this one of our go to spots now!

Today we visited Nalas, and we truly loved the food. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with great music and a warm, welcoming vibe. Customer service is extremely friendly and attentive, and they also offer a nice selection of cocktails.
While exploring the menu, we noticed there are many breakfast and lunch options, with an amazing mix and perfect balance of American, Hispanic, and international flavors—something for everyone.
The restaurant is pet-friendly, with plenty of outdoor seating, as well as lots of space and tables inside. You can genuinely feel that the entire staff is happy to be there, which makes the experience even better.
Highly recommended—we will definitely be coming back!

Okie dokie. Listen y’all. I’ve been coming here since 1987 and this is bar none the best place in this spot. Now I know some of you (like us) thought all the places that used to be here sucked. This is the mold breaker. The food is fresh and good with a Costa Rican influence but really all of South America. But equally important is the pizza. I waited until our second visit because I didn’t want to have a fluke. Both times the servers were great Valeria (sp?) was our server the second time and her bubbly personality definitely helped. But hey the pizza. No they’re not a pizza place per se but they’re good. Tequenos are delish and taco Tuesday while smaller portions is like good f150 vs a Toyota Highlander. Same size different price. Larger parties will find a good time but they have acoustic dampeners all over so it’s not to loud. Honestly get a pizza coming onto the island and you’ll be happy bc even then crust is tasty. Good parking easy in and out. Sometimes the cross island isn’t the best option and I’d argue this is one of those places that make the detour worthwhile. Outside has games do littles can run around. Islanders this is someplace to add to your winter rotation.

I recently visited Nala’s Beach, and I was truly impressed from start to finish. The place has a warm, coastal atmosphere that immediately makes you feel relaxed. Everything is clean, beautifully decorated, and perfect for enjoying a peaceful breakfast or brunch by the beach.
The customer service was outstanding. Every staff member was friendly, helpful, and always smiling — you can tell they genuinely care about the guests. The manager deserves special mention for being such a kind, professional, and attentive person. He made sure everything went smoothly and that every customer felt well taken care of.
The food was absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in every dish. The portions are generous, and the coffee was fantastic.
Without a doubt, Nala’s Beach is a place I highly recommend 100%. Whether you go alone, with family, or friends, you’ll have a complete experience: great food, excellent service, and a relaxing atmosphere that makes you want to come back.
☕ ✨ Highly recommended!

My hubby and I have eaten at this new restaurant three times and we’ll keep coming back! The food and cocktails are excellent and the place has such a fun vibe. Order the Nala cocktail- It was yummy, colorful, and fun. It came with a flower shaped ice cube that made the pink drink even prettier.
We really enjoyed the burgers, pizza, and the Nala salad. The pizza crust was very crunchy, different, and tasty – I loved it! The salad dressing was also unique and delicious – Order it on the side so you can manage your own portions. Lastly, I can honestly say this is one of the best omelets I’ve ever had! So fresh and delicious.

Have spent several evenings at the bar. Incredible Happy Hour 4-6pm food and drinks. Friendly attentive service from bartenders and servers. We descended on them for my birthday with thirty people and they took care of us with ease, efficiency and friendliness.

Every time I come to Nala’s, it feels like home! The food and drinks are amazing everything is handmade and super fresh. The staff is always kind, friendly, and makes you feel welcome.
One of the best parts is that I can bring my dog, and they even have food for them too! The place has this Latin Costa Rican vibe that’s full of positive energy and good music.
I also love their late night events perfect to dance, enjoy the island breeze, and just free your mind for a while. I’ve tried many dishes, and every single one is delicious and unique.
