Little Fish, a brand-new restaurant on Long Island’s North Fork, bridges the collective experience of coastal cuisine. With nods to the Med, SE Asia, Caribbean, and more, the delicious array of spices and colors on each plate meld perfectly with the rich pastels and island living design adorning the room. Throw in spectacular nightly sunsets, excellent service, cocktails, local wine, and live music and just maybe you can see why locals and tourists alike are already raving about this new hot spot on Kenney’s Beach.

Oysters were outstanding some of the best I’ve ever had. The ceviche and the taquitos were delicious. Fish tacos were just OK. The staff were excellent. A bit pricey but I highly recommend.

Having left our credit card at the restaurant last evening, we decided to have dinner again for the second time at The Little Fish. Everything is perfect at this restaurant. The decor is eclectic and unique. All the employees are friendly and provide right on for details of menu items and drinks. Our server was Sam. Tonight our beverages were a Thai basil daiquiri and a Classic Cointreau Margarita. Both were perfect. For our appetizers had perfectly grilled locally caught whole red shrimp on a ají amarillo sauce. Also we enjoyed the Mermaid Makeout Oysters which consisted of Herb Oil, Charred Pineapple Relish, Cracked Pink Peppercorn and Classic Mignonette. Wild Fennel Mussels consisting of Local Wild Fennel, Shallots, Herb Butter, White Wine, Pernod and Grilled Sourdough. We also enjoyed the Little Fish Cornbread which is their Signature Little Fish Shaped Cornbread which is Baked to Order served with Honey Butter. The owner Arden was very pleasant to talk to. He has a wonderful restaurant and staff.

What a great done!!!! Do you want that Caribbean vibe? Well Little Fish is the place to be!
As soon as you walk in, you are struck by the wow of amazing colors, decorations and atmosphere! I’m getting excited writing this now, the day after we were there.
We started off with an array of cocktails which were just amazing! I had the Halekulani which was just amazing and fruity! The dark n stormy was a big hit as well!
We ordered so much it was just crazy!!!! The oysters (out of this world) with their amazing dipping sauce. The duck wings were the best in an Asian ginger sauce (OMG). The spicy tuna tacos and the Mezze were amazing as well. ( my mouths watering!). The mussels were so delicious in a white wine sauce served with 2 nice slices of crust bread!
We also had their burger which was cooked perfectly, lobster rolls served in a Giant croissant which was stuffed up nice with lobster! The blackened fish tacos were killer!!! The grilled chicken coissantwich was delicious as well.
Too much to eat and so much to say about little fish!!!! Get there and enjoy a Caribbean experience that will be unforgettable!!

This little gem of a place is truly wonderful. The entire staff is so friendly but I hope Sam is forever there because she is a star! From the recommendations which were on point to her bubbly personality – she was such a pleasure! The menu is small but perfection. Everything we had was so flavorful – the tacos, the squid, the chicken sandwich ⭐️ the Caesar salad – all so very good and fresh! The drinks were strong but really good! And we ended with a chocolate cake desert and cappuccinos. The beach is two blocks away. It is a private beach but you can take a quick walk over after eating. Really glad I found this spot. Will be a new fave on the list.

Fun and relaxed waterfront seafood restaurant that feels like a tropical vacation, complete with palm trees. Inside is funky, bright and comfortable with a beachy feel. There are many outdoor tables as well. We were warmly greeted by the host and the owner. The menu ranges from Mediterranean Latin Asian fusion flavors to more traditional dishes. Service was excellent, with a thorough description of the dishes when we asked. There are several choices for non-pescavores such as piri piri chicken and steak. We enjoyed the seafood fritto misto (little touches like the fried lemon slices and caper berries show the care taken by the chef), tuna tartare on a wonton taco, and the Red Dragon soba noodle bowl (which will soon be legendary). Offers a selection of cristalino tequilas and a well-curated wine list, including some great local wines such as Poppy & Rose. Also features original, well-balanced cocktails with fresh ingredients. Finally, the key lime pie was authentic and delicious.

Update: Went back their 1st day open again (March 28 2024).. and of course, had my favorite mezzo app! That pita bread
Sam was great as always but one thing that did happen was a credit card charge on receipt but we paid cash. It says CC service charge. We just asked about it and then she said she forgot to take it off so we just told her if she took it off to just keep it as part of the tip we already left.
Also we ordered mussels but felt like we took out a lot of empty shells. We found some in the broth but was alot of empty more than would be. Enough that we both questioned it. so we will try again.
B loves the cornbread. I just remember the key lime pie I had last year for my bday. Yum!
OLD REVIEW: I thought I already left a review but realized I didn’t. This was my favorite discovery last Summer and I kept coming back bringing different people! I got sad to see it was temporarily closed but it is scheduled to open today and we are coming! Gotta go find all the pictures. I even celebrated my Bday there last year. Willing to drive from Southampton just to order to go Such a cute place…great food!

We had a wonderful time at Little Fish. The food is amazing!!! I highly recommend trying out the Spicy Tuna Tartare Taquitos and the Hot Honey Jerk Ribs ( If they’re still on the menu 😉 ). Not only is the food amazing but the atmosphere is great and the overall vibe is a lot of fun. The music was just the right volume to enjoy while eating while maintaining the ability to talk at a normal volume. All the staff are just lovely and wonderful people. On top of that the Signature Cocktails are also fantastic. I’d recommend The Turq as well as the Smokey Paloma.

I made a reservation for last night for a table away from the live music and it was ready when we arrived. The live music was very nice and people were enjoying it. If I was there for just drinks, i would have preferred that side of the room. It’s a brightly painted room, lots of artwork, clean and busy! Plenty of outdoor seating and almost every seat was taken. The AC was a little strong so bring a sweater. Our server was very nice, knowledgable and accommodating. My spicy margarita was one of the best I ever had and they use all natural ingredients. My husband and I ordered a stacked crab app special which was nice…delicious green goddess dressing, a Caesar salad which was absolutely delicious, and 2 entrees which we shared. The swordfish Milanese and the ribs. The fish was not the customary swordfish steak but a thinner cut, breaded and fried to perfection….there were 2 giant portions with some greens and feta on the plate. Delish. The ribs were unbelievably tender, sweet & slightly spicy with a side of slaw that was just perfect. My husband has an aversion to cilantro so he didn’t eat the slaw but i adore cilantro and loved it. It was the perfect amount of food for 2 hungry people. Although they did have some very pricey items on the menu, our bill was reasonable especially compared to some other restaurants on the North Fork. It’s very easy to get to and has a big parking lot in the back. Overall, we had a great experience and will recommend it to everyone.

This place is incredible! A well rounded menu, and tons of seafood and vegetarian options. We specifically tried the tuna tartare taquitos and the chicken croissantwich – both equally delicious! We also had the key lime pie, which was the best I’ve ever had! The staff was super friendly, and the space is set in such a peaceful location pretty much on Kenney’s Beach. Would love to go back some time! Parking was also super easy.

This was a mixed experience for us. I think it’s always difficult when one person’s meal arrives much later than everyone else’s, and in this case, they did comp the food! That was the right thing to do! But it was also awkward, and we had just flown in from North Carolina and it took so long for our friend’s meal to come, that the entire night was basically centered around just having this meal. Again, the meal was comped. Thank you Little Fish.
I also was not happy with the service. So this would have been four stars to begin with, and then it would’ve lowered quite a bit because of the missing food, but then raised again to three stars, because the meal was comped! I understand it’s difficult for servers when the meal is not coming out, but I would prefer to see them bustling around, asking if we needed water and drinks, rather than ignoring us. There were long stretches of time when we had no idea what was happening with the missing meal, and, an update would be nice. There were also times we were looking around for water and we were looking around for more cocktails, and the server was not around.
Let’s talk about the food.
I had the monkfish tiki masala. And it was very good, but monkfish is so light that I’m wondering if this is the correct pairing. The tiki masala sauce was excellent, but completely overwhelmed the monkfish. I’m wondering if they could use another fish that could stand up to it. And serve monkfish in a different way. Monkfish is so lovely by itself; perhaps either dial back on the sauce, or consider another fish for the tiki masala. Again, the tiki masala sauce was excellent.
My friend had the Puri Piri chicken, and that’s what took so long to come. Once it arrived, he said it was really quite good.
