We were snowed in the whole weekend and today (monday) the roads are better. Me and my sis in law decided to go out looking for Bingsu. I’ve been craving it and the place at the mall was closed so we decided to try Kim’s Restaurant for bingsu. I got Kimbap and Mango Bingsu. The Kimbap taste great and oh my goodnesss the Mango Bingsu hit my cravings spot. It was in a big bowl with mango sauce and plenty of mango. It could do more sweetness or condensed milk but it was still very good. I will for sure come back here especially for the Bingsu!!! I’m dreaming about it as I’m typing ❤️ If you don’t know what Mango Bingsu is it is “a popular Korean shaved ice dessert featuring ultra-fine, fluffy shaved ice typically made from frozen milk, topped with generous amounts of fresh, ripe mango chunks, sweet mango puree, and condensed milk. Often served with vanilla ice cream, mango syrup, or mochi, this cold, refreshing dessert is a staple for beating the summer heat.” This description is from goggle. Anyways I’m so happy it’s now in Louisville. Please don’t ever remove this from menu and hoping more flavors will be available like Matcha The family that runs this cute little resto are the sweetest!! Also love the christian words on the wall

First off, the food was amazing! I got the cheesy tteokbokki and while it was super delicious, the serving size was a little bit small compared to the price. Regardless of that, it was still super delicious and pretty authentic. I went late at night so not many customers. The owner, I assume it was the owner, was very nice.

I can’t fathom how the is place has a decent review as it is literally the worst Korean restaurant I’ve ever been to. First, they only have bottled water, no option for a tab water and water costs $1.99. We ordered kimbap and beef soup. The kimbap had no meat and more than half of the filling was carrot (and the carrot tasted like it had gone bad). The beef soup looked like something out of prepackaged meal, except it was worse.
The 3 side dishes they brought out with our meal tasted like it’s been sitting out for a while, the radish was spoiled and we couldn’t eat it.
It was a waste of $65 (so expensive for a bad food). Do not recommend, don’t be fooled by the decent reviews.

This is me and my wife’s new favorite local Korean restaurant in town. Run by a lovely couple, food is authentic like how we remember in Korea, and great portions too. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

It’s a small place with limited seating. The server (owner) was very pleasant. She took our food order but not the drink order. I had to go the the front counter and she pointed to a fridge with water and canned drinks. The food was prepared quickly with large portions but the taste was average. Typically, you get several condiments at a Korean restaurant but we were served only 3 in limited quantities. I love to support family businesses but the prices have to match the quality of food and preparation.

My daughter Monica wanted me to meet Kim and go to her restaurant. The food was excellent! I feel I made a new friend for life in Kim. She is a lovely, lovely lady and her husband is an excellent cook. It was a real blessing to eat there and feel so cared for and loved. I had the vegetarian Cheese Tteokbok, it was so delicious! This will be a new tradition every time I visit Kentucky to go and visit Kim‘s restaurant. I highly recommend the place! This was my last day visiting my family and it was another highlight added to all the rest of the past week! Susan Bell from Hudson, Wisconsin

I often complain that Cincinnati is a culinary desert—flat, beige, and flavorless. So today, we went searching.
Three hours later, we found ourselves in a little Korean joint in Louisville—run by an older couple with Bible verses on the wall and a look of surprise when we walked in. The place was dead quiet at lunch, the kind of spot that makes you second-guess everything. My expectations sank like a stone.
But then the 순대국밥 came out. And damn.
The broth was clean, deep, and clearly cooked that day—not a whiff of that over-porked funk you sometimes get when it’s been sitting too long. The blood sausage was legit. The pork tender. No shortcuts here. No catering to the timid.
The menu? Small and tight—just the way I like it.
This wasn’t flashy food. It wasn’t curated for Instagram or Midwestern palates. It was honest, working-class Korean soul food, dropped into the middle of Kentucky like some beautiful culinary glitch in the matrix.
Don’t let the exterior fool you. This place is the real deal—and more than worth the drive.

This is such a lovely place! The owners are the most wonderful couple! I have ordered most of the options on the menu and everything is so delicious! The sweet and sour pork is a top favorite along with the beef fried rice. The ramen is also very good! We come here often and enjoy it so much! It is my favorite place to go! 사랑해요!

Kim’s Restaurant Korean Rice Cake delivers authentic, well-seasoned Korean comfort food that’s absolutely worth trying. I recommend ordering a variety of items to really experience the menu.
I sampled the Beef Bibimbap, Grilled Rice Cake Skewers, Seasoned Chicken, and Beef Bulgogi, and everything was flavorful, warm, and satisfying. The seasoning is on point, and the dishes make a great addition to any meal, whether you’re sharing or ordering for yourself.
I always choose takeout, as the space itself isn’t especially inviting, but the food more than makes up for it. If you’re craving authentic Korean flavors done well, Kim’s is definitely worth a stop.
