What an experience! I didn’t even do the chef experience and got such a wonderful dinner! I was so jealous of the people experiencing it so I’m definitely doing that next time

I celebrated my first anniversary here and it was such a joy. Some people get worried they will leave a Michelin star restaurant hungry. But i was stuffed!!!

Everyone at the restaurant was amazing, kind and really took care of you! I kind of just want to come back just to experience that as well!

Since their menu constantly change, I think it’s just best to say: trust the chef. You won’t regret it! Or let the pictures do the talking!

I’m 100% coming back with my family to treat them to this!

Had this amazing opportunity to experience authentic Japanese cuisine at UKA, where a series of small, intricate dishes are served✨ It was cool to see the chef work on all the details up close at the counter The sashimi was so fresh and you could really taste the natural ingredients. The course was beautiful, and we tried several different sakes (even found my favorite!) The staff was incredible! Super attentive and took time to explain each dish as it was served. The chef was not only talented but also sharing little stories about the food and techniques. The big windows let you see Hollywood while you eat dinner, which makes the whole experience even better. If you want real Japanese food where you can taste the true ingredients, UKA is worth it. Such a special night!!

I was amazed by the authentic Japanese cuisine at UKA, and being Japanese myself, I believe this restaurant truly captures the essence of our culinary heritage. The chefs’ attention to detail brought out flavors that transcended mere appearance, leaving me pleasantly surprised with every bite.

What differentiates UKA from others is its commitment to excellence, from appetizers to desserts. The grand finale, the dessert, was perfection. Sitting at the Chef’s counter was a unique experience; it not only added a personal touch but also provided valuable insights into the artistry behind the dishes.

The restaurant’s ambiance is a beautiful blend of intimacy and relaxation. It evokes a sense of being transported back to Japan, making it more than just a dining experience; it’s a journey. I highly recommend UKA to anyone seeking exceptional quality and a truly special dining experience. UKA will leave you with a lasting impression of culinary excellence and warm hospitality.

Our experience at Uka was phenomenal. We requested to be seated at the chef’s counter for the nine-course kaiseki. The subtle harmony of flavors and textures were so satisfying and the atmosphere and service provided by the team took it to the next level. I absolutely love that they guide you along the fine dining journey which felt like luxury among friends.

Each bite was a discovery and something that we will cherish until our next visit.

Impeccable service—attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. The flavors were subtle yet layered, never overwhelming but still deeply satisfying. Everything felt intentional and well-balanced without being excessive.

One of the best restaurant experiences in LA. Every course was amazing but my personal favorites were the Ikura and Uni wrapped in Flounder. The service and interior of the place were also amazing. We celebrated a birthday and it was the perfect place for a special occasion. Best kaiseki had outside of Japan and I would highly recommend it if you enjoy Japanese cuisine. Their sake offerings were also great.

I went two days in a row since it was SO good. A truly authentic Japanese Kaiseki and everything from the chefs to chopsticks and plates along with some of the ingredients were from Japan!! 100% recommended if you’re in the area.
The attention to detail is just spectacular. Writing this review made me want to eat it again honestly..

A definite MUST. Service, atmosphere, views, presentation, FOOD. Everything was such a memorable experience and we can’t wait to return. All the courses were unique and special with a flawless balance of flavors. You will taste a variety of dishes from clean and simple steamed vegetables to japanese sashimi to melt in your mouth, buttery wagyu. And chef doesnt forget to add seasonal elements to the courses by adding pickled green apples and fresh hokkaido uni. I truly enjoyed the sake pairing and you could see the genuine love for sake in Terry, but if alcohol is not an option for you, the homemade ginger ale is delicious. I wish I could write a more raving review, but words cannot describe the entire experience. We loved every minute of the meal.
