We arrived in the early afternoon to find the restaurant peaceful and empty. My spouse and I placed our lunch orders—he chose the curry goat while I opted for the jerk chicken, and we both tried the beef patties. The beef patties were quite enjoyable, and we appreciated the generous food portion sizes; it was definitely good value for the price. However, I found that the food lacked some of the authentic flavors I was hoping for, and unfortunately, a portion of both our rice was still undercooked. I think with a few adjustments, this place could really shine!

I love Jamaican food. But this place was different. The good the cabbage and corn was probably the best I’ve had. The mac & cheese also delicious. The oxtails however was very disappointing. They were extremely thin and lack any flavor. They seemed like they skipped all the seasons. Look how skimpy these are and the watered-down gravy. They are tender, but at this thin, how could they not be. With my disappointed however I will stop by again. But I definitely won’t get oxtails.

Food is a 1/10, the cornbread is the only thing on the plate that was pleasing, I will give them that. The rice was scorched, cabbage was OVERLY over cooked, curry chicken was decent but sides are the most important so I don’t believe I’ll be trying it again. Customer service was 8/10 the lady at the cash register was nice.

Came here for the jerked chicken pretty sure I just fell in love w this restaurant. It came with sides all of which were . I had candied yams & yellow rice with sweet corn bread. Also we got some seafood fixings with mussels and eggs and sausage and potatoes and stuff man… it’s great.

This place has a great selection it’s sooo good! I am now obsessed with their shrimp. I will not be forgettin this place.

Just outside town it’s worth it to order-to-go. The service is friendly the prices are definitely worth it and the portions are big. I highly recommend tryin!

Food, service, atmosphere. So food was great, and so much of it with a lot of flavor. Service was ok, maybe because they closed in an hour or maybe because we were the only ones in there, but the server wasn’t the friendliest. We had never had “Jamaica” food, and we didn’t get any help when we asked for advice. She did sit three more couples after us, so the fact they closed in an hour didn’t matter and the closing time was a shock to at least one of them. Atmosphere, very plan dining room that looks like something from a bar dance floor. No plates, no silverware, just to go boxes and plasticware. The feeling was this place should be a take out only, with a bunch of wasted space. Lastly, the credit card machine assumes 20% or more gratuity.

Ordered garlic shrimp, cajin shrimp, and jeck chicken. Comes with a rice and a side. Bottled drinks only.

If you found my review helpful, please give it humbs up.

Imagine my disappointment when I opened the box only to see 4 small pieces of oxtail. My husband got the same as well. Despite the high price, the dish had very little meat and was filled with many bones, making it a less satisfying experience. The ratio of meat to bone was heavily skewed. The corn bread was pretty dry as well. This dish was certainly not the same as the first time we had it. Overall, it failed our expectations, both in terms of value and taste.

Waited 1/2 hr for “warm” curry goat white rice. My husband Jamaican cook, therefore I know a good tasting curry goat, and this was Not totally it!!! Was a tad disappointed ☹️ plantain was freshly cooked and hot, sweet bread good. Counter lady very nice.

It’s a wait to get your food but it’s definitely worth it! I’ve had the jerk chicken and also came back and tried the ox tail. Food has the spices that make it taste amazing. Price is decent for the amount of food you get! They do pick ups so call your order in and go and pick it up! The ox tail and the 10 piece shrimp meal is what you see in the pictures.

Aptly named. Jerk chicken is smokey and so full of flavor. Cabbage is the best I’ve had! Rice has some of the sauce from the chicken and is a little spicy too. Candied yams are delicious also. We tried the shrimp on another visit and that’s delicious too. Recommend ordering ahead and either dining in or taking out.
