Unfortunately, my visit here was not that great of an experience. I came for the hyped up $5.99 cold noodle special. The cold noodle special was a great for both the regular and spicy… no complaints for that dish, but the meat jun was not good at all. Not worth the $16.95- The meat Jun sauce was way too salty. The meat Jun itself did not taste good, was too thin and very dry. We were asked if we wanted a take out box, but said no and we let the staff know the reason why was because we didn’t like it and it was dry. They apologized. I was kind of hoping they would refund or give discount on it because it was a disappointment but they didn’t. I paid and gave a 18% tip still. I don’t think I’ll be back.

Hidden Korean bbq place. Find it! Service is superb! They cook it for you and ask how you like the meat “medium rare” yes! Staff are excellent! Beef is awesome! Miss Jennie is wonderful! I like Jennie!

tried Choi’s Garden Korean Restaurant for several times and honestly it felt like a real taste of Korea. The quality of the food is amazing, fresh ingredients, rich flavors, and everything tastes very authentic, just like actual Korean home-style dishes. You can tell they care about consistency because every bite brings that traditional balance of spice, sweetness, and comfort. The portions are generous, the atmosphere is warm, and the service makes you feel welcome. If you’re craving real Korean food with great quality and true flavor, this spot is definitely worth visiting!!!!

Table was raggedy with the burnt mark. Absolutely do not understand why we were seated there. At least try to change the table? Food was mid. Jjapchae was soupy for some odd reason. Steamed kalbi was good. Banchan was good. Nothing special. Service was good, attentive.

Food is very good. Good deals. Good soup and bbq. I don’t know why the rate is not very high. Bulgogi, spicy pork, seaweed soup, bean paste soup, tofu soup, seafood pancake, multigrain rice in hot pot, and banchan. They are all very good. Our go-to place.

The service at this Korean BBQ spot was great, and I appreciated being able to reserve a table—no waiting when we arrived, which was a big plus! However, the food was just okay. The beef dishes were disappointing; even the wagyu slices lacked flavor , dry and were too chewy, as was the steak and finger steak. It was a letdown, especially compared to other Korean BBQ places in other states. On the brighter side, the pork belly was delicious and cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, they didn’t offer radish wraps, which I usually enjoy. Overall, it’s convenient for the service, but the quality of the beef needs improvement. $280 for family of 2 adults and 2 kids.

It was my first and last time going here. At first, it was okay, but when it was time to pay, they pressured and demanded that we tip. The lady didn’t want us to cook our own food and started to grab the tongs away from us, making us highly uncomfortable. They cook for you, making you feel obligated to tip them, even if you didn’t ask them to cook. They will shame you, saying that their service wasn’t good enough for you not to tip, and make you tip the amount they want. We will tip when the service is good, but in this case, the service was bad because she was giving us attitude. The food is okay, but it’s not worth the money. Go to better Korean barbecue places like Sura and Gens instead.

Choi’s Garden pleasantly surprised me with its recent reopening after renovations!!
I thought this place was gone for good..phew!

I brought a family member along, and she enjoyed the overall experience. While I used to exclusively get takeout for their lunch specials, the in-restaurant dining elevated my love for this place even further.

The exceptional customer service stood out, as not just one, but two staff members went above and beyond to keep us informed about a slight rice delay. The restaurant boasts a wonderfully modern ambiance, complete with a bell system that evokes the authentic Korean dining experience!

We both went for the lunch specials with every bite of the tantalizing bulgogi and fish dishes. And let me tell you, the Kimchi Jigae soup was a taste sensation, perfectly balancing its oniony, meaty, spicy, sweet, and sour flavors. It’s the kind of hearty, home-style kimchijie that hits all the right spots.

Without a doubt, Choi’s Garden holds 1st place in my heart, making it my absolute favorite Korean dining spot in all of Hawaii. Don’t miss out on this exceptional gem!

I went here yesterday evening with my sister, and the experience was so bad we didn’t even stay to eat. From the moment we sat down, our waitress was extremely rude and dismissive toward us for no reason. She only gave us one menu, even though every other table was given two. The couple behind us got friendly service and two menus right away, but when my sister asked for another, the waitress acted like it was an inconvenience. Throughout our short time there, her attitude toward us was aggressive and unwelcoming — yet she treated other tables much better. Looking around, I realized we were the only Hispanics in the restaurant, and while I tried not to think of it as discrimination, the difference in treatment was hard to ignore. The service was so uncomfortable that we decided to leave and find another restaurant instead. Just arrived on the island and this was not the welcome we were hoping for. I would never come back here and definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Save your money and go to another KBBQ in town where you’ll actually get the respect and service you’re paying for.

First and last time eating here. If you are local don’t go here. They pressure you into tipping. The attitude and atmosphere aren’t welcoming. Felt judge from the time me and my partner walked in. We couldn’t cook our own food, they kept cooking it for us without even asking. Since we weren’t satisfied with our service we didn’t tip. Which then lend to one of the servers asking “ I notice you put tip not included was there something wrong with our service. “ which my partner politely told him there was nothing wrong with him in particular as a person just how we were served and as he left he mention to another one of the servers the we didn’t tip. The lady with short hair and dark lipstick on and she approached us and asked the same question “ tip not included “ so no don’t go here unless you don’t mind being treated this way. It’s not about the money but the principle that you feel comfortable enough to come out and ask such a thing and not even being a locally owned business. To clarify tips are optional not the law. You don’t like it then you are more then welcome to go home. Mahalo 집에 가다
