This Panera in Urbana is spacious, modern, clean, and well organized. It’s easy to find a table and the restrooms are always well maintained.
We often come here for dinner on nights when I don’t feel like cooking or dealing with dishes. It’s also a great place to meet a friend for coffee or lunch. I’ve never seen it overly busy, which makes it a relaxed spot to sit for a while.
The tablet ordering stations can feel a little off-putting, so sometimes I skip them and go straight to the counter. The staff are always happy to help if you prefer ordering that way.
Overall, the food is good and it’s a reliable place in Urbana for a quick meal or coffee.

I like this Panera Bread location overall. The food is fresh, tasty, and consistent, and it’s a nice spot to grab a quick meal or coffee. The atmosphere is comfortable and convenient.
However, I do think the staff could use a bit more training to improve efficiency and customer service. With a little more attention to detail, this location could easily be 5 stars.
Overall, still a good experience and I’ll be back.

New look of Panera lost what made Panera cool.
The store is cold, sterile and looks like a hospital cafeteria. No one to take your order, just a row of dirty fingerprint covered ipads to figure out and punch in your order. Thank goodness we didn’t have any questions.
The food was good and that’s the only saving grace here.
But if I want Panera I will find an older store for the ambiance. That’s why I pick Panera.

Met up with my former employee at Panera — she’s a girl, and we hadn’t seen each other in forever, so naturally we turned Panera into our mini reunion spot. I got the soup-and-salad combo with chili, chicken soup, and an apple. She got soup and a sandwich.
We ended up chatting for ages like we owned the booth. Service was fast, the place was super clean, and everyone working there was friendly and patient with our extended “catch-up session.”
Panera fed us, tolerated us, and gave us a wholesome little reunion. Five stars.

Had a very pleasant stop for lunch today. My kid had an accident prior to entering and an employee overheard us in the restroom and was very kind and offered us plastic bags. The food was great and on time.

I ordered the Chicken Avocado sandwich, and unfortunately it was extremely salty. From the very first bite, the saltiness was overwhelming and I couldn’t continue eating it. It honestly tasted like an excessive amount of salt had been added.
Panera Bread is usually known for offering healthier, well balanced food, so this was very disappointing. I was planning to share it with my father, but I didn’t feel comfortable giving it to him because he has high blood pressure, and food this salty could easily raise it.
I hope this was just a one-time mistake, but quality control especially with seasoning really matters.

It should be easy to complete an internet order accurately, but apparently not. This is the second time that I have arrived at my destination and opened my order to find no steak on my steak and wake breakfast sandwich from the Urbana MD Panera.

I am really sad to say this, but I waited for this location to open for so long and I now have to go to the other locations. Trust me. I am a big Panera fan. I often go to at least 4 different locations. But the 3 or 4 times they served me food here in this location it came with less food that what is served elsewhere. The bowl of soup was also barely filled and this is the picture of the salad. It’s a joke. I went to the other location in Urbana Pike to make sure it wasn’t a new Panera thing but it is not. This location gives me half of the food and I leave there hungry, while the other ones give you a decent amount. I know it’s a cafe. But literally 2 spoons of vegetables and call that a salad it is a joke. I’m heartbroken because it’s close to my home and I wanted to have a Panera there for years. 🙁

I didn’t feel well treated, and I noticed a clear difference in how people with blonde hair were treated compared to others. As an immigrant with black hair, I couldn’t help but feel that this played a role. Regardless, my money is worth the same as anyone else’s. I’d rather buy a cold soup at the supermarket than return to this place.

Would you eat this? This was my margarita pizza from the Urbana Panera Bread restaurant. I don’t have a picture of the bacon cheese and avalado sandwich, that had no bacon. Come on…
The manager was very nice, apologetic and accommodating, she took our meal back and gave me credit.
But still, I picked it up, drove home, opened our meals then drove back.
