Tonight was our first visit to Fire & Stone in downtown Woodstock, Ga. This is a historic railroad depot and looks the part. They have two massive Wood burning Pizza Ovens Mario and Luigi. The place was popping our table of four had a 45 minute wait. They kids ran around the greenspace and we enjoyed a cocktail from the bar. The pizza was delicious, we ordered two 12 inchers. One Portobello & Goat Cheese the other Drunken Grandma. Both were great and we ended up taken a few slices home. The ceaser salad to start was homemade tasting and the lettuce was fresh. The wait staff was friendly and helpful with info. They control the door pretty good as to not overwhelm the kitchen.

I recently checked out the new pizza spot in town. It’s a solid addition to the local scene, offering a refined experience that stands on its own against our usual go tos.
The Bake & Texture:
The technical execution of the crust is impressive. The bottom had an even browning and a nice initial crisp, though the slices still had a slight flop,a great middle ground for those who like a foldable but well baked New York or Neapolitan style. The dough itself had an excellent, satisfying chew.
Flavor Comparisons:
While the quality is high, the flavor profile is more “clean” and understated than its competitors:
Vs. Partner’s: It’s less decadent, lacking that heavy butter and garlic richness.
Vs. Vingenzo’s: It’s missing those punchy, classic Italian herb notes, specifically the fennel and sage.
They use red oak in the oven, which adds a subtle touch without being too “forward” or smoky, allowing the freshness of the ingredients to shine through.
The Experience:
Where this place really wins is the variety and price. The menu is much broader than other local shops, and the drink prices are very fair. It feels like a place where you can settle in for a full meal rather than just a quick slice.
Final Thoughts
I’m a fan of the technique here. I’ll definitely be back soon to try the smoked wings and meatballs to see how they handle the rest of that broad menu.

My dad and I are BIG pizza people and were so excited for a new pizza place in downtown Woodstock. My dad got the West Island (like Hawaiian style) and I got the Manhattan (pepperoni, bacon, ground beef, and Italian sausage but I got mine without the sausage) and no complaints!! Can’t wait to try more of the menu and bring my hubby and friends!

Fire and Stone Pizza is a great spot to hang out and unwind. The atmosphere is what really sets it apart. Open outdoor space, string lights, families and friends spread out on the lawn, and a relaxed vibe that feels welcoming without being chaotic.

The pizza was solid with a good crust and quality ingredients, and the service was friendly and efficient even with a crowd. It is the kind of place you can stay longer than planned, especially around sunset when everything lights up.

Cool new pizza restaurant.
I was apprehensive at first because Woodstock has several other pizza restaurants, but the menu and flavor are different enough to make this a new regular spot for us.

AMAZING! The meatballs are unreal. The lasagna pizza blew my socks off. I went in with extremely high expectations and came out with extreme love for this place. Christine, Julie, and Vince are amazing.. This will be a Woodstock mainstay for many years to come

Such a cute place, atmosphere was nice and the food was excellent. Service was great. My 5 year old did not like his pasta and the manager quickly offered to change out his food. We highly recommend and can’t wait to come back

We absolutely love this place! Everybody is friendly from the owner all the way down to the kids that bust the tables. We’ve had the lasagna pizza and it is so good!! Hands-down, this is the best pizza in town. We’ve been on the weekends when Emily is bartending and she’s very knowledgeable. Will definitely be going back!! Don’t miss out on this one take your family take your friends or make it a date night!

The food was amazing! But none of it was correct. We had 2 drinks, the lemony Old Fashioned. Very good mix! Our appetizer was Stracciatella cheese dip, but they brought us a caprese. We sent it back and it took another 10 min to get the right one, very delicious olives and exactly the right bread to dip ratio. Our pizza was a neopolitan (12″) Rustica. After finishing the appetizer that took too long, she told us “she couldn’t find our pizza”. Eventually we got a NY style(16″) rustica. The pizza was sooo good. Great fresh flavors.

They can obviously make a great delicious meal, service was friendly.. but their internal systems failed me miserably. 2 times we didn’t eat here because it was so busy, this was not at all a busy day but we were still there over 1 1/2 hours and served the wrong food twice for a $75 lunch. (Yes I was charged for the 16″, not the 12″.
