Reviews
As a travel advisor, I’ve had the opportunity to travel extensively and enjoy exceptional cuisine in many wonderful restaurants around the world, both on land and at sea (including cruises). This place genuinely impressed me with its presentation, ambiance, and level of service.
We didn’t realize reservations were recommended and came in as walk-ins on a Wednesday evening, even though the restaurant was fully booked. Despite that, the team went out of their way to accommodate us and managed to find us a table.
A truly memorable experience and a restaurant I would absolutely recommend. We’ll definitely be back.
We were looking for a place to have dinner and came across this newer restaurant on Google—only about six weeks old, but the reviews were glowing. Reservations were fully booked, so we showed up right when they opened hoping to grab bar seating. Instead, they kindly found us a table.
From start to finish, the service and food were impeccable. We tried several dishes—everything was fresh, high quality, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully paired. Every flavor worked exactly as it should. The wagyu tartare was hands-down our favorite, and the sushi was outstanding.
We will absolutely be back the next time we’re in Williamsburg.
Lamb chops ,scallops ,and Surf & Turf were ordered as mains for our table.while everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals we all agreed the filet mignon was the star of the show. It was so incredibly tender that I could’ve used a plastic knife & fork to eat it. Everything was also well seasoned.
While we really enjoyed our evening and most certainly will be coming back ,my suggestions to this restaurant as its their soft opening are:
A more extensive dessert menu as there were only 3.
Please eventually consider having espresso beverages as they’re great to pair with dessert or a cold evening like tonight.
The fried rice was neither good nor bad but very meh. I would recommend more of a Japanese style fried rice similar to hibachi.
A larger variety of mocktails for those of us who dont drink.
Overall we had a great night out and cant wait to return back!
But the real standout was the exceptional service. The entire wait staff worked seamlessly together as a team. Our server, Jenny, along with several server assistants, anticipated our needs throughout the evening—down to bringing fresh silverware between courses without us having to ask. I noticed a few older reviews mentioning poor service, but that must have been during their early days; I truly can’t imagine that being the case now.
The head waiter or assistant manager—whose name I believe was Rick—was also wonderfully attentive. He checked on us several times and jumped in to assist whenever needed. The whole team made the experience feel effortless and genuinely welcoming.
Overall, a top-notch experience from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back!
The food was amazing! The tomato and burrata appetizer was the perfect way to start our meal—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The seared salmon was perfectly prepared. The scallop and aged parm risotto dish was rich and savory. The miso salted caramel chocolate mousse dessert was decedent yet airy.
Service was exceptional from start to finish! The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and offered thoughtful recommendations. It’s clear the chef has a true vision. Highly recommend!
