I was looking for appetizers for dinner and BuaLoy delivered. Chicken satay was well cooked and flavorful though the peanut sauce was a tad bit thin. Spring rolls were perfectly fried and piping hot. Location gave me a bit of a pause but it was truly unwarranted.

The place was okay. Pad Thai was pretty good. Massaman curry was not thick in consistency, more like watery which to me suggested they used less coconut milk. It would be depending on your preference, but I like it when it’s more dense in consistency. They asked about the spicy level and I said mild, but it was not spicy at all. I guess they are catering to Americans who cannot take any spicy food. Or perhaps they need to look at the spicy levels?

Truly delicious food here!!
We ordered the Fried Dumplings, Khao Piak Sen, and Beef Pho. All were fantastic. Price point very reasonable! Not everywhere you can get dishes from Laos. On our list of places to come back to for sure

Stopped by for a quick dinner about an hour before closing on a Wednesday. Upon walking in, we learned that they are currently still take-out only due to being short-staffed. The server was very friendly and patient with us while we reviewed the menu and put in our orders. We got the larb gai salad, drunken noodles, and green curry. I was pleasantly surprised that there was the option of adjusting the spice level according to individual preference. We requested the second to highest spice level for each dish and was happy to find that the flavors definitely packed a punch. The food here is great and I look forward to returning.

The Customer-service is on point while the food was served in a good time for a take-out the time I was in the area. The Panang Curry with Chicken Laotian Sausage & Thai Chili Wings decent.
Vong, The Owner and the other Woman Server always show love whenever I get a chance to come here. Good Food, good Customer-service and love means a lot.

I ordered the Green Curry (Spicy but not Thai Spicy Hot). When I first opened it I was a bit disappointed with how many vegetables there were compared the the meat and broth but boy was I wrong.
After a 20 minute drive home the food was still hot and easily plated. The curry was delicious and the mix of vegetables to meat was good. I would’ve enjoyed a bit more peppers and onions rather than so many green beans though. The spicy level was perfect as someone who loves a kick to their food. Overall I definitely enjoyed and would recommend you to try this restaurant, though next time I might try a different dish.

My wife and I have read reviews about this Thai, Laos, and Vietnamese restaurant and decided to give it a try.
Bua Loy in Devon has an unassuming presence, but you can feel the warmth and friendliness as soon as you walk through the door. We were greeted by soft Laotian music and several staff members. Coming from a family of restaurateurs, Bua feels like a family run business.
Our server Brendi was friendly and knowledgeable and had suggestions about the menu. The Nam Khao Salad was a highlight of the meal and my wife’s favorite dish. The Homemade Laotian Sausage was delicious and popped with flavor. The spring rolls were crisp with a flavorful chili dipping sauce.
Brendi recommended we try the stir fry dish Pad Ka Prow with flank steak. A combination of crisp vegetables, buttery beef in a light flavorful broth. For dessert we were hoping to try the Coconut pudding but it was not on the menu so we decided on the chocolate mousse cake which was sinfully dark, rich and delicious. We’d like to thank our server Brendi and Chef Boualoy for a wonderful experience and delicious meal!

Great, fresh food! Green curry is a favorite. They are currently only doing pick up due to staff shortage but definitely worth a try! Staff is always kind. Wish the portions were a bit larger for the price but that won’t stop me from supporting this great place!

2 stars for the portion sizes for takeout and the ceramic ramekins they’re super cute. But it’s really hard to compare any Thai food after I’ve already been to Thailand, so I’ve eaten at the authentic street stands and restaurants there. The chicken pad thai was decent, the chicken was like in tiny slivers, the coconut green curry didn’t have any coconut cream in it (it was very liquidy/runny and the chicken was the same texture, it also wasn’t spicy at all and the only vegetables in it were green beans and carrots), even the sticky rice wasn’t made fresh (it was in a hard brick I could barely pull it apart), even the mango sticky rice was hard it wasn’t easy to break apart at all and I live 5 minutes of this place and they said it would take 15 minutes to make it “fresh” the only thing that was made fresh was the perfectly peeled mango.
PS- then please explain why Thai Singha House in Philadelphia has all the textures, flavors, and consistency that you’re missing?
Everyone has had mango sticky rice on the streets in Chang Mai and it’s not as hard as a rock or dry by any means; it’s supposed to be gooey, warm and flavorful with a mango jam-like texture mixed into the sticky rice before it’s shaped. How do you explain watery curry??
