I tried the tonkatsu ramen at Ramen 101 in Pittsburg and it was really good. I’m very picky when it comes to ramen spots, so I don’t say this lightly. The tonkatsu ramen had great flavor, the broth was rich, and everything tasted well balanced. This is definitely one of those places I’d go back to without hesitation. Ramen 101 is now my go-to ramen spot for sure.

The miso ramen was absolutely amazing. The meat was soft and tender and the soft boiled eggs were perfect. I also highly recommend getting the takoyaki and shrimp tempura!

The food was excellent and plentiful. The young man who helped me was great. I got there about a half hour before they closed. He gave me the food in a bag to go. I asked if I could eat it there and said I could finish before they closed. He said that was okay. Then I opened it and told him there’s no way I’d be able to finish all of that by closing but I was going to eat some before he closed. He said, no problem. I’m going back for sure.
