The best Indian food I’ve ever had. Quality food, good service and fab atmosphere. I have a nut allergy which they dealt with really well.

Definitely going back. Lovely food, lovely staff. My friend ordered lamb, I had chicken and we shared our main dishes.
Poppadoms, two rice, two rounds of exceptional naan bread, two curries, two beers. Only £58. Definitely recommend.

Amazing Indian cuisine with great starters, dips, sauces, and a high variety in main dishes. They don’t skimp on herbal flavors and the heat level indicated is, albeit probably a little toned down for us westerners, very helpful.
Great Syrian-style dishes as well as many vegetarian options.
The staff is nice and fast. Have visited and will visit again.
Update: we’ve been here three times now and the kitchen is showing absolute consistency in quality.
Update one year later: still great, same quality. The interior is a little brighter now, which is nice.

First day in Wales. Came across this restaurant while walking from my hotel. I ordered Malabari Biryani because I have never tried biryani from Kerala. It came with raita as a side dish. The biryani was delicious. It was the right amount of spicy. The staff here was very polite.

Had a great experience at this Indian restaurant. The food was amazing, especially the Kerala fish curry — it was absolutely super and full of authentic flavor. The service was also very good. Special thanks to Sibi, our waiter, who was super attentive and made the experience even better. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing experience at Salkara Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious — the Paneer Biryani was flavorful and aromatic, the Shahi Paneer gravy was rich and perfectly spiced, and the parotta was soft and flaky. Every dish tasted authentic and freshly prepared.
The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, perfect for both family and friends. The hospitality was top-notch — a special mention to Manager Sibi, who was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our visit. His friendly nature and great service made our dining experience even more enjoyable.
Highly recommend Salkara for anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere!

Great food can’t fault it. However we have called up a few times to make a booking and request a high chair for our baby, so we can visit as a family and on a few occasions now they have said they don’t have any high chairs, meaning we didn’t end up going there.
There was one occasion in which they did and that was because somebody went and got one from their Llandaff North branch.
In this day and age it sounds a bit absurd when being told there are no high chairs in a restaurant. What’s even odd is they still haven’t bothered to purchase any after we have asked a few times. Clearly being family friendly is not a priority of theirs.

10 of us had a very delicious lunch here. The food was excellent quality and felt very authentic (especially as we had only returned from a holiday in Goa 3 weeks before!) Everybody was very happy with their meals and the bill was very reasonable. Sibi was very welcoming and friendly and looked after us very well, thank you. We will definitely return.
