Artography
In a sea of fluorescent sameness, Ruby Thai Kitchen distinguishes itself not through spectacle, but through discipline. At peak hours, it is often the only stall with a line—an anomaly in the modern food court, where speed usually eclipses loyalty. The queue moves with quiet efficiency, overseen by a staff member who stands with you, marker in hand, writing your order directly onto the takeout container before you reach the counter. It is a small, almost ceremonial gesture, but one that signals confidence: they know you’ll wait, and they know exactly how to keep you moving.

The system works because the food delivers. Plates arrive hot, glossy, and unapologetically aromatic—bold with garlic, basil, and chili, balanced by a restrained sweetness that avoids the syrupy pitfalls of lesser mall Thai. The pad Thai, in particular, stands out as a highlight, cooked to order rather than scooped from a warming tray. It arrives fresh and fragrant, with tender noodles and well-balanced flavors, though it leans slightly heavy on the sauce—an indulgent excess that ultimately reinforces its comforting appeal. Proteins are cooked with intention, vegetables retain their snap, and sauces cling rather than pool.

What makes Ruby Thai Kitchen remarkable is not that it exists in a food court, but that it transcends it. The line is proof of trust earned over time: a shared understanding among regulars that this is the one place worth waiting for. In an environment designed for immediacy, Ruby Thai Kitchen has achieved something rare—anticipation.

The Beef Pad Thai is nice. The Lo Mein is some cheap store bought linguine. The Sprite is toilet water.

My sister comes here regularly when she is in the mall so I decided to give it a try and I ordered the orange chicken and spicy shrimp with lomein and vegetables. I also added some plantain. The orange chicken and spicy shrimp were descent but the lomein was bland. I will order the proteins again. If you like plantains order a side versus an add on because with the side on it came with 4 pieces. I’ll pay more and order the full size next time to see how much the portion is. If you are in need of a quick lunch give it a try.

Browsed the selections and did not notice any Thai cuisine. Saw egg rolls, wonton soup, & Lo Mein.

The name RUBY THAI is misleading. Perhaps the chef is Thai but the cooking is more likely Chinese takeout style.

That being said… I had the $10.50 curry chicken with veggie fried rice. It wasn’t bad and I did eat all of it. The food is okay and it’s quite busy each time I walk by.

Don’t come here expecting anything resembling Thai food except for the name.

Hello, on February 20 we ordered our favorite meals, but unfortunately the portions were much smaller than they used to be. We were quite disappointed, as we have always loved your food. We hope this issue can be addressed.

Food wasn’t bad, it was the service. First off, why are you taking my order in a queue when I can’t even see the food on display. Why are you rushing me? Decision was made under duress and I didn’t even get to tell them my dietary restrictions, smh. The whole experience was pretty aggressive. I’m going to give it another try. Maybe the experience will be different. I will be back to share whatever.

The bang bang chicken w/ noodles and rice was good. The fried shrimp and fish was ok not as expected to be. The service was quick since it’s like an open Buffy. I have tried this place 2 times and I find it a good option to eat from.

This particular shop is located in the Christiana mall food court. The place was crowded but the food made it worth the wait. Amazing grilled chicken, so yummy. Enough quantity for the price, loved the meal.
The pad Thai was so delicious and juicy. Loved the flavor.

0/5 – Dishonest Pricing and Rude Service

I ordered the same exact meal two days in a row — rice, fish, and spicy shrimp ×2. Yesterday it cost me $34. Today, for the same thing, they charged me $40.

Not only are they up-charging daily for identical orders, but the staff are rude and careless about filling orders properly. There’s no consistency, and it feels like they’re just making up prices as they go.

This isn’t just poor service — it borders on consumer fraud. The mall administration should be monitoring these kinds of shady business practices. If this continues, it deserves to be reported to the Better Business Bureau and other consumer protection agencies.

Avoid this place. Save your money and go to a restaurant that values its customers.

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. They made my order and handed me the wrong one. I come back to tell them and they give me attitude. If hospitality is NOT your thing, STOP running a restaurant.

I give it an overall 4 to avoid raising the stars too much, because Ruby is a gem.

This is a place for regulars. You know what you want get it get out. It’s a food court. If you’re annoyed it’s not traditional Thai or that they couldn’t specially make your wontons without gluten, you may not want to eat in the mall food court.

It’s clean, fast, and delicious. Modestly priced. 5/5 stars.
