Fresh, flavorful seafood. Imaginative flavor combinations. Lively atmosphere. Great service. You can review the flavor profiles of the different oyster types before ordering, which we found helpful in making selections. We had both poppy and Cadillac, which were great. The scallop dinner was outstanding.

This place was absolutely amazing! Our server was the best we’ve ever had (and we are both former servers)!! The oysters were out of this world!! Our meal was superb!!! We were a bit crowded in for a Wednesday night but it’s a great problem to have!! Can’t wait to go back again!!

Fantastic restaurant with wonderful waitstaff. The food was delicious. Loved the oyster bar and options! Definitely a good spot for date night or with family.

Really excellent newcomer to downtown Amherst in the former Judy’s space. Was here for lunch special–$20 for soup or salad, and sandwich. House salad very good, large bowl with romaine, baby arugula, tomatoes cukes olives and feta. Shrimp roll outstanding. Shrimp large, very fresh, lightly breaded and cooked perfectly. Shoreline highball (alcohol free) also truly outstanding. Contemporary decor, clean lines, spacious. Friendly and efficient staff. Draft beer and cocktail selections look very interesting. Look forward to returning!

The restaurant is very beautiful and the service was friendly and attentive. The wine list is unremarkable and the featured cocktails were too complicated. The crab cakes were good, my husband loved his hot honey chicken sandwich tho the coleslaw was bland. I had the fish tacos which had small pieces of fried haddock and a very bland topping. The fries are plentiful, yet too salty. I’ve heard the oysters are the star, I’m just not one for raw oysters. Good luck ironing out your flavor profiles.

The oysters were great even though most were very small. But there were variety of options. Other than taht, I think the food was so so, but with the oyster and some drinks, that may be good enough.

We hosted a party of 17 for a birthday brunch at Amherst Oyster Bar. I highly recommend it! From the initial planning process with Alden through the day of last-minutes logistics with Alex (GM) and Alexa (our server), the staff was delightful and accommodating. The food was incredible. I had the crab cakes Benedict. And the bill, when it came, was a real surprise! So much less than I expected. Will definitely look forward to eating here again!

Incredibly delicious food, wonderful ambiance, and welcoming waitstaff. It’s a new, bright and beautiful restaurant. There were a few disappointments “growing pains” ?: No coffee due to a supply issue; spaghetti substituted for linguine noodles; no pineapple juice for a popular cocktail. I will definitely go back, again.

amazing new addition from the same team as protocol to amherst center, which is quickly becoming a really decent foodie destination. we came on opening day and they are definitely still ironing out a few kinks with service but the interior is spacious and beautiful, the portions are generous, great drink list, and the seafood is surprisingly fresh for western mass. the buck a shuck oyster happy hour is also super worth it, just know they only offer two varieties for the deal.
plenty of seating inside but i’d still recommend making a reservation online for their busy opening week! can’t wait to come back, try more dishes, and see how they build on a strong opening in the coming weeks.

Great new spot for dinner and cocktails! The oysters were super clean and paired perfectly with a zesty Aperol spritz. My pasta was loaded with shrimp—eight jumbo ones! So glad to finally have them open.
