Great little resturant! But there are no precautions for cross contamination. My daughter got sick after eating gf enchaladas or chips and salsa.

A new Mexican restaurant is now open in Dolores! We stopped in to give it a try and was happily surprised to see our favorite server from other places around town was here, and he is the Owner! This is a Mom & Pop (and son) restaurant. Pop and son are running the front of house and mom is cooking.
We each ordered Enchilada’s, mine chicken and my husbands was shredded beef. They were Awesome! So flavorful, something we have found lacking in other places. The food was so delicious and fresh tasting. We had plenty to eat, and for such a fair price, but we decided to splurge a little and have dessert. They had the best Fried Ice Cream I have had in years. We would have taken a picture of it but we dove in to it immediately and didn’t stop until the dish was bare. It was that good.
I wish this local family a great success with their new business. Such great people who deserve the very best of luck. Feels good to support a local family, and enjoy deliciousness in the process.

Wow! Authentic tacos like the ones we had in Mexico while living there for 6 months. I’m so glad I needed to use the facilities at the gas station next door. We happened to notice this place and stopped in for tacos to go. Mighty tasty. Salsa was perfect.

I love Nanny’s! I used to come here for their taco Tuesdays. But, since I work all the time. I try to come in and eat with my boyfriend whenever I have the free time. The owner is super nice and friendly! They always make me feel welcomed here. Also, way to go Nanny’s for winning for best salsa!

The food here is always excellent!! The ingredients are super fresh and delicious! The carne asada is my recommendation, the meat is fork tender and the spices are perfection!! The refried beans are freshly prepared as is the rice and it is all wonderful!! The staff are always friendly and accommodating, too!! Don’t miss this feasting opportunity when you are in Dolores, CO!!

The food is very tasty, most are unique items on that are different from the other Mexican restuarants in this area. The flan is the best I have ever eaten is my expansive history, and after a complete meal tha was so delicious I hoped it wouldnt disappoint. The owner and his family have created a friendly atmosphere that will undoubtedly improve beyond their recent opening. The salsa provided to the table with chips was well seasoned with some sneaky heat. Other salsas available at the salsa bar include habanero and tomatillo versions that are very tasty. The big side order of fresh guacamole was amazing, made with chunks of avocado, tomato, onion and cilantro. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the No Falla entree between us. Similar to fajitas, but much tastier. The cook does the Spanish rice just right, and my wife said the refried beans were the best she’s had. I know I have use many superlatives in this review, but the food and service are that good at Nanny’s. Focus on the food and service, and overlook the atmosphere. Pricing is low to moderate with many items below $7. When we enjoyed our dinner, every table was full yet the service never faltered.

The food here is amazing. We stopped here on our way from Black Canyon to Mesa Verde and just wanted something fast but good for lunch. This place did not disappoint. We had barbacoa, carnitas, and carne asada tacos, rice and beans, and I think what was called the Burro Verde burrito (not sure on the name but I think it was a chicken burrito with green sauce). Everything was so flavorful and delicious, the meats, the salsa – I wish we could’ve gone back for another meal. Service was great and price was affordable.

The family that runs this restaurant is very friendly and nice. Not only are their meals affordable, they taste like they should cost 5 times as much. Amazing food, great prices, and phenomenal customer service. What more could you ask for?

We came into town around 7:30pm and this was about the only restaurant that wasn’t closed or going to close soon. We couldn’t have been happier with our accidental find. Superb food and awesome service. The waiter was friendly and helpful. The portions and flavor were perfect. We would definitely suggest to others travelling through to stop here.

Awesome little place, not your usual taqueria feel. Has a more dine in feel. Regardless great food and prices. I also ordered a margarita and he made fresh mix and an amazing margarita.

Very disappointed. Will not be going again, we waited an hour and a half for for our food. Our 2 kids were served 20 mins before our food was brought, and then people that came in after us were served before us. Portions are very small for the price. Nobody writes down you order either, so maybe it’s ok for breakfast, but definitely not for supper.
