While the outdoor patio offered a pleasant setting, with a beautiful fireplace, grapevines with actual grapes growing on them and the view of the wooded area, the indoor dining area unfortunately lacked ambiance. It felt more like a cafeteria than a restaurant, with bare walls, no décor, and acoustics that made conversation difficult. A resident of the facilities did mention that the prices were a bit high, and in hindsight, we agree. The portion sizes did not quite justify the cost.
That said, we want to commend the staff. Our server was exceptionally friendly and attentive, and the live music added a genuinely warm and enjoyable touch to the evening.

Our dinner comprised the Classic Calamari, Arancini, Beer Battered Filet, Friday Fish Fry, and Devil’s Mousse.
Starting with the appetizers, both the Classic Calamari and Arancini were delectable, with the Arancini standing out as one of the best in Rochester. The house-made red sauce complemented the creamy, salty Arancini beautifully.
For the entrées, we had the Beer Battered Filet and the Friday Fish Fry. While I didn’t sample the Fish Fry myself, my husband found it delightful and said he’d return for it. The Beer Battered Filet, on the other hand, was a dish I could rave about: garlic beer-battered filet with port wine mushrooms and demi-glace, accompanied by mashed potatoes and the vegetable du jour (broccolini). The filet was generously portioned, perfectly cooked to medium rare, and every element on the plate was vibrant, flavorful, and delicious. This is a dish I’ll undoubtedly return for.
Dessert was the Devil’s Mousse, a chef’s house-made creation that was sweet, velvety smooth, and light. We enjoyed it so much that we ordered an extra to share with our neighbor.
Finally, our server, Maryanne, was exceptional—professional, friendly, and welcoming, she made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Thanks to her and the delightful food, we had an amazing dinner at Cappelleti’s.
I had chicken picatta and my husband had the seafood diablo. I think that they can be more customer conscious with the pricing and servings to attract more customers. Will I return? Yes. I can see this place becoming quite popular
I ordered chicken parm with gluten free pasta. I requested the chicken to just be a chicken breast with cheese melted on it. I order this at numerous restaurants without any issues.
My server stated that the cook said this wasn’t possible despite the fact that they have regular chicken on their menu, so it struck me as pretty ridiculous and lazy.
My family was excited about their meals so I just settled for a boring order of gluten free pasta because I didn’t want to give my server a hard time.
The pasta was not cooked very well and was tough.
I requested crushed red pepper from my server and when I shook it onto the pasta, the lid fell off and the pepper was all over my plate rendering most of it inedible.
I tighten the cap for the next customer so that they wouldn’t meet my fate.
My daughter also found her chicken French to be rather soggy and my wife was less than pleased with her shrimp scampi. Neither of them took their leftovers home.
Our bill was $99 and we would have been much more satisfied spending $40 at the local diner.
I will say, this experience was rather upsetting and annoying for someone with food allergies to not be able to get a simple piece of chicken and I don’t think that we will be returning again.
One morning, my daughter and I arrived at Cappelletti’s later than planned due to a minor shoe mishap. Despite our tardiness for breakfast service, the staff welcomed us warmly, and the chef went out of his way to prepare a delightful breakfast for my daughter. She was thrilled with the French toast he made crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and topped with just the right amount of sweetness. It was clear that the chef poured his heart into every dish, and his kindness turned our hectic morning into a cherished memory.
Cappelletti’s offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere, making it perfect for both casual breakfasts and special occasions. The combination of delicious food and genuine care from the staff makes it a standout choice in the area. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, I wholeheartedly recommend stopping by Cappelletti’s.
