This is a beautiful establishment and the staff is very nice, but the coffee needs work. My husband and I ordered two small lattes, each with an extra shot. My latte had almond milk, my husband’s latte had whole milk. Both tasted completely burnt. We had to throw them out. We won’t be returning.

I’ve been to this drive-thru coffee stand twice now and both times were super consistent and amazing!! Service is always friendly and informative, the coffee is sooo tasty (roasted in-house) and they always have yummy seasonal drinks and treats going on from my experiences. Last time I got a seasonal 1 yr anniversary donut I’m still thinking about. This time since St. Patrick’s Day is coming up, they have a seasonal mint pop-tart! I opted for the brown sugar cinnamon pop-tart (amazing) and got the seasonal pistachio brown sugar latte and wow! The coffee is not too sweet and sugary it’s made just right. The treats are not dried up and hard they are soft and taste so fresh. I love this place if you can’t tell!

Stop in to get coffee and bite to eat instead of going to 7 eleven thats right next to it. Definitely the right move, coffee was great and the breakfast burrito was eggcellent! It came with salsa and sour cream, so good!!! Stop in and support your local businesses!

We went to the front service window and it took a bit for anyone to acknowledge us. From what I could see, it looked like we were seen but if not please add a ring of some kind
My iced maple bourbon latte did not taste like it had maple bourbon as well as the iced chai with maple bourbon. 🙁
The chorizo burrito had an appetizing look but the flavor was lacking 🙁

I love going to mountaineer coffee not only for the coffee, pastries, and sandwiches. The main reason is the friendliness of the staff. If I happen to wake up groggy or on the wrong side of the bed, I’m a short drive away from getting my spirits lifted by their infectious smiles, good vibes, and the potent delicious drinks.
Last of all, there is a variety of options for people who have different dietary needs. Oh yeah, they also have dope merch
Edit: They just released a bunch of new types of whole bean coffee from the Kenya, Peru, and the seasonal blend I just bought named Hill & Holler. Get it while you can!!

Disappointing. Based on some recommendations from friends (and preferring to support local businesses), decided to try Mountaineer over my usual “national chain” coffee place. After waiting @10 minutes in line, pulled up and ordered a large drip coffee ($4). Was informed their drip machine was broken, but they could do Americano instead. Said that was fine, but then they wanted to charge me $5 as it would take an extra shot for a large. So now they expect me to pay $1 more for a substitute – because their equipment is broken. (?!?!) But agreed to pay the $5 (I needed coffee) and went to pay in cash, but then was informed they don’t take cash at that location. Gave up and went back to my usual national chain – ended up wasting 15-20 minutes of my busy morning here. For a small local business, just too hard to do business with them… Maybe they should be a bit more customer-focused given the major chain just up the road and a second opening close by soon.

Ordered an iced mocha with oat milk. 3/10 they use some sort of powdered chocolate and it’s gritty and doesn’t dissolve all the way. Tastes like cheap nesquick. Mochas hot or iced should be made with real chocolate or chocolate sauce. Will never buy here again especially for the price you pay.
