I picked up a ham and cheese croissant and a cardamom bun (cardamom croissant). They don’t seem to serve coffee — at least there was no option for it when I visited — so it’s more about grabbing pastries rather than lingering with a drink. They also offer a nice variety of artisanal breads and traditional breakfast pastries, all of which looked fresh and well made.
The ham and cheese croissant was good, though nothing particularly stood out — but that may be because I’ve had some exceptional versions elsewhere. The cardamom pastry was also solid, but again, I’ve had outstanding cardamom buns in New York City, so my standards are admittedly high.
Update: returned again. The danish was really delish and the bread is good too.
Tried the Chocolate Frangi twist and everything crossiant. Both were fine. I had very high expectation due to the really high review scores but the bakery was not phenomenal. They were very crispy outside, actually can be too hard since they were cold. I wasn’t so impressed by the texture Or taste.
Overall good value for bakeries ($4 or 5 each)
Their cookies do tend to be on sweeter side – not for me.
If you happen to go on weekends, coffee had a really long line so only ended up getting bakery food. It’s mostly take out as they have limited outdoor sitting area.
Parking, unfortunately, is the only real downside. It’s limited and can be frustrating, especially during peak hours. That said, once you step inside and take a bite of what they’re serving, it’s easy to forget the hassle.
The French baguette is the absolute standout. It’s everything you want in a baguette — crackly on the outside, fluffy yet slightly chewy inside, and bursting with the kind of deep, toasty flour flavor that only comes from using high-quality ingredients and a skilled baking process. You can taste the fermentation and craftsmanship in every bite. It’s the kind of bread that doesn’t need anything else — just tear off a piece and enjoy.
If you’re a fan of naturally leavened breads or just appreciate well-made food, this place should be on your radar. Worth the detour, even with the parking woes.
Staff suggested different types of bread based on what I wanted to do.
They open and willing to explain their processes.
Everything that I tried was superb, smooth, silky and tasty. So tasty I took some bread back to the east coast for later.
Coffee in the van is amazing too, they take the time to craft your coffe with love, so if you are in a rush, please skip it.
Looking forward to come back!
Everything was delicious. I tried a cardamom croissant and can’t wait to go back to try those other offerings.
