Went here for my birthday and it was an overall nice experience. I enjoyed most dishes but for my main, the maitake mushroom, which was not as tasty and flavorful as the other dishes. Service was wonderful, but we sat at the left-most end of the chef’s counter and with the door constantly opening, I was very very cold and uncomfortable and that negatively affected my dining experience as I just wanted to get out of there. They could have used buffer to help keep the temperature comfortable; they have a curtain but that wasn’t in use and frankly seemed insufficient. I’m newly pregnant and being uncomfortable while pregnant is especially difficult.

Had an amazing birthday dinner for my husband here! While. Skeptical of vegan food, I had an amazing experience. Every dish served as part of the tasting menu was flavorful and perfect. Had a great wine – Menancia a Spanish red. Highly recommend this place. Service was excellent!

If you think vegan food is just tofu and kale, Ground Provisions will quickly prove you wrong. From the moment we stepped inside, the ambiance was warm and welcoming—soft lighting, vintage cookware accents, and lush greenery created a cozy, thoughtful atmosphere. The staff were both knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about the menu, offering insightful recommendations and clearly explaining each dish.
The food? Absolutely phenomenal. From the first bite of the Brioche Toast with Celery Root Bisque to the final spoonful of Rhubarb Cheesecake, every course challenged and expanded my understanding of what vegan cuisine can be. The cocktails were equally impressive—The Spring and All stood out as a favorite: crisp, refreshing, and perfectly suited for the season.
The full tasting experience felt generous without being overwhelming—each dish was a delightful surprise, artfully presented and deeply satisfying. Make sure you put Ground Provisions on your “must try” list! This place is an incredible vegan restaurant located just south of West Chester in Chester County. 45 minutes from Center City Philly, 30 minutes from the Main Line or Wilmington. The food and beverage offerings are wildly creative, beautifully presented, prepared and presented by the nicest people you’ll ever meet. One visit and you become part of the family looking forward to your next visit. I’m awarding Chef Brandon the “CharMaster” award after last night’s perfectly charcoal grilled and seasoned cabbage. It tasted even better than its perfect treatment on the grill. Followed by a grilled with just the right amount of delicious char maitake mushroom entree served over creamy polenta and vegetables with a most flavorful au jus that will have you saying “ I can’t believe this is vegan”. Several other courses rounded out a perfect dinner which ends with one of Chef Nora’s incredible desserts, always creative with just the right amount of sweetness! And to top it all off you will have consumed a very healthy meal! Do yourself and your dining partners a favor and get a reservation right away!

This is absolutely one of the most fantastic gourmet restaurants in the area, vegan or not. You will actually forget it’s vegan by the second course. I have been here twice now and both times I have had flavors that kept me guessing in the best way. They have some of the best servers in the area (just extremely skilled and friendly). The portions may look small, but you will leave so stuffed by the time the courses are done. I really highly recommend adding the vegan cheese plate. It’s so delicious and unique. You can get steak almost anywhere, but vegan food expertly done ( with a focus on letting the vegetables shine instead of meat substitutes) is SO rare. The vibe inside is also soothing and comforting. I love it.

Years ago, and long before we retired and hit the road, we were lucky enough to get a last minute reservation to Vedge while in Philadelphia. So when we heard that a sister restaurant opened in historic Dillworthtown we were excited. While back in the Philadelphia area, we finally visited to celebrate a birthday. While not a place we can routinely visit due to the cost, it was an outstanding place for a celebration. Everything from talking to the owners to the food was excellent. The building was charming, the staff was great, and the food was elevated and amazing. We could not have asked for a better night. We definitely recommend visiting. We suggest making a reservation since it was busy during our visit on a weekday.

Fun Friday night birthday dinner! Came half an hour early for our 730pm reservation and were able to be seated with no wait. All of the courses were really fresh and tasty 🙂 the waiter explained each dish once placing it on the table. Adored the dessert (with candles for our birthdays :))! Plenty of parking. Good, calm vibes.
