I had the privilege of having a sneak preview of some of the amazing dishes they will be serving up at Salamone’s pizza and pasta and all I can say is…wow!! The pasta fagiole, pasta carbonara, pasta alla Roma and the fettuccine Alfredo were so delicious! I am an official pasta snob…and this is the real deal. Honestly, better than the stuff I’ve had while living in New York and even while visiting Italy. I can’t wait for the full menu and to be able to get this anytime I want!!

Was here days before thanksgiving. We sat at the bar and the blonde bartender was sharing food with a guy sitting at the bar while we sat and waited for her. Few minutes waiting the other waitress who was busy on the other side came up to us asked if we’ve been helped and I said not yet and she was apologetic and brought us the menu. After the waitress came up that’s when the bartender came up and helped us. Amazing food! I had slice of NY style pizza pepperoni and fettuccine alfredo. Great food for the price. The best alfredo! If the other waitress didn’t came up to ask we would have left I’m glad we didn’t.
Tried again for dinner here and service is far better than last time, the waitress was the one who served us and the food is just very good. The best pasta! I will be trying everything on the menu including their chicken parm sub! We sure will be back!

I just tried the the chicken parm sub is so good. Big portion for the price! They haven’t failed me for any food. And the service with the Asian waitress has been always great! She’s a great I hope they keep her she deserves a raise!

Hands down one of the best Gluten Free Pizza’s I’ve had. New York style. Chris is a very friendly server and bartender. Even though the remodel is not quite finished it looks very nice in there and I can imagine the finished product. (Remodel is also being done by Chris as well). I do miss having Stone Delisiousness on tap for a GF beer…. But the did have 3 options of Ghostfish

I came in for my weekly hang out with my teenage son. He loved his meatball sandwich and my chees calzone was heavenly. We both felt wonderful after eating, which isn’t always true about heavy seeming food. But it seems like they work some magic with their crust. Nice to have it in the neighborhood. Also, it’s a pizza place in an old converted restaurant so the layout is kinda weird.

I do support local businesses, when they deserve the support.

But since you said you wanted the “why”, here is the review I put on Yelp —

Not impressed.

Went in on a Saturday night before 6. There were 5-6 tables occupied and most had their food already.

Sat and waited 20 minutes to be acknowledged by staff. Placed an order for salads and a pizza at 6:12. Salads didn’t arrive until 6:50, when the server said “oh, your pizza is up too, do you want me to bring it out or wait”. I told her to wait rather than just let it cool on the table while we ate the overpriced side salad (a small plate of lettuce and dressing for $8).

We went there because had heard the pizza was good. But if you’re going to call your pizza a “meat lover” style pizza, it should have a noticeable amount of meat on it. On the attached pic I had to use arrows to highlight the minimal amount of sausage. The other meats were pretty scarce too.

Nothing that I ate or experienced at Salomone’s tonight will cause me not to go to The Cloverleaf in the future. Wishing I would have gone there tonight.

So to respond further to your reply, I do and will support local businesses, namely The Cloverleaf.

We were really excited to finally try this location because we love the one in stadium but was sadly disappointed here. We ordered 2 slices of pizza which were good, a kids spaghetti and meatball and an adult serving of Linguine Alle Olio. They brought us out silverware that still had someone else’s food on it which was immediately off putting. The kids meal was about $10 and apparently only 2 ounces less than the adult serving which was $17 and didn’t even have meat. it looked like you actually got more food with the kids serving. When we asked about thisdescrpency, they came and took my daughters plate of spaghetti while she was in the middle of taking a bite so they could compare the serving sizes back in the kitchen. This is when we were told the children’s serving was only 2 oz less and it just looked the same because they were served in the same size bowl. They reluctantly gave us another serving of the adult portion and a huge helping of hostility to boot. No one came to check on us or ask if we needed anything else for the next 20 minutes we were there. The building is nice and has a lot of potential but we unfortunately will not be returning. (My daughter already ate the meatball when I took the photo)

Great service, great space, great setup, great atmosphere. Pizza and spaghetti with meatballs were bland and with the price of a pie being 35 bucks plus, with great catchy names btw, would have expected some better flavor. The apps were good, ordered mozzarella sticks and buffalo wings; those were good. Pizza sauce needs more flavor. Pizza dough had good crust and thickness but also no flavor. Happy to share my thought should they reach out. 3 stars overall. Can get to 5, but the flavor on the dough and sauce needs to be there first. The only thing missing…..

Disappointed. Ordered spaghetti Marinara for $16.95. I had assumed it would come with a small side salad and a piece of bread maybe. But this is all I got (condiment packet for scale). I realize food prices have gone up but this is a bit much. You could, at the very least, throw in a piece of garlic bread. I can make spaghetti for my family of 5 for $16.95. Definitely won’t be back.

It’s not the fanciest place in the world but that’s okay cuz the food is really good.
I had the spaghetti and i was bewildered by their barbarically big, beautiful, bussin meatballs.

20 bucks for barely any sauce on the pasta Is crazy lol but it’s alright. Probably would have tasted better if it actually had sauce. I won’t be coming back. I got the Penna alla Vodka
