Upon entry, there was a gentleman that greeted hello from a distance and saw me taking pictures of the place. I did respond that I was taking quick pictures and he responded with ok. I was done within a minute. He seemed to have disappeared and didn’t return at all. This I found to be strange. It was almost five minutes. I flagged another female employee and whilst she was approaching me. The initial gentleman appeared and asked if I wanted to be seated in the bar or the dining area opposite the bar. I advised that dining in the bar section was sufficient. I sat at one of the dining tables. The previous restaurant was Shari’s. They did an excellent job in renovating. The decor is appealing and cozy. The left section of the restaurant is the bar side with a few dining tables. The right section is the main dining area.
I was greeted by a female bartender-Lyndsey. She was nice, welcoming and great. I ordered the Crispy Chicken garlic $22.95. This was delicious! I also ordered a fresh roll for $10 happy hour price. It was delicious Honestly, it’s pricey for a single roll. For my beverage, I had a hot Jasmine tea as I was slightly cold. I wanted to order Thai tea initially. I’ll have to come back and try it. I attempted to order the mango sticky rice, however, was advised it was not in season and could not be served. I’ll be back to try other food items on the menu.
The food was great, all people in our party were happy with what they ordered. The appetizers came out so quickly too!
We got crab fried rice, crispy chicken, pad Thai, and pad woon sen. All very tasty!
Our waitress and waiter were great, brining out everything in a timely manner. We celebrated a birthday and they offered to keep the dessert we brought in the fridge until we were ready to have it. They were very hospitable and attentive.
We will definitely back returning to try more things on the menu and feel like we have found our new go to Thai restaurant.
The ambiance is so nice and elegant. The service is amazing and the food is a 10+++. The bar looks like a speak easy !
I had the chicken phad Thai and my husband had the tom yum soup, both were excellent!
As you can see on the pictures I’m attaching, the 2 drinks I ordered during happy hour time were supposed to have their price reduced (we were in the lounge area between 5pm and 6pm), but we got charged full price. The reason why I didn’t catch it right away is because when we were done eating nobody brought us the check for 40 min, so I went to the front desk to pay it, but they only told me how much I owed without a check, and I only got to see the bill afterward. I realized the mistake while walking to my car, went back inside right away and asked to be refunded the difference, the waiter asked me to fill out a paper with my receipt number and phone number so that he could “process a refund when it’s less busy”, but he never did. What was also irritating is that he was not believing me that both drinks had happy hour price, despite it being on their menu…
Either way, it’s been 2 weeks now and still no refund, hence the bad rating.
Apart from that the food was fantastic, but the drinks were nothing special. Sitting in the lounge area (but not at the bar) got us to be forgotten by the waiters, they were never stopping by to give us water or ask if we wanted anything else.
I’ll happily update my review if I get the refund. I know it’s only $5 (well technically $6 with tips) but that’s just not right.
Hostess greeted us immediately and brought us water. Server was quite attentive. The food was fantastic. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. Huge Menu. We wish them success and will return!
My visit to Thai Ginger left me with mixed feelings. On one hand, the food was absolutely outstanding. The dishes we ordered were delicious, fresh, and authentically Thai. The quality of the kitchen alone is the main reason to consider returning and definitely deserves a high rating.
However, the service we received was extremely disappointing, completely overshadowing the dining experience. Specifically, the staff dressed in red shirts displayed unacceptable behavior.
They acted rude, abrupt, and, above all, arrogant. They seemed bothered by having to serve us; they placed the plates on the table discourteously, almost “throwing” them down, and their attitude was hostile towards customers. The lack of professionalism and the prepotency (arrogance/haughtiness) of this specific staff are unacceptable for an establishment that offers such high-quality food.
In summary:
• Food: Outstanding.
• Service (Staff in Red): Appalling, discourteous, and arrogant.
I sincerely hope management takes serious action regarding the attitude of their service staff. If you value good food but also expect kind treatment, consider ordering takeout; otherwise, be prepared for a very unpleasant dining experience.
