Clean restroom, Desiree was very helpful. The food and drinks are an exceptional value. 4th visit. I think sometimes they cannot hear the phone ring but the staff is always gracious and kind. The blenders are loud.

When we ordered at 2:32pm by online and be ready carry to curbside at 2:44pm so we arrived parking lot at curbside at front tropical cafe at 2:38pm and wait for employee carry to us but passed 4-5 min already then I decided to walked in and saw our order foods already there then told them what’s happen and late, not be on time and I told him near by window to see us at parking lot curbside sign and why ignore us and told other employee check up time make sure on time somehow they are be quiet and didn’t say nothing. So I grabs it order and we ate flatbread chicken so already become cold so they’re not good responsible their job to pay attention time for curbside.

Probably the weakest place I’ve been to. Management DOES NOT open on time. There have been several occasions where I’ve had to leave because the store was closed when they’re supposed to be open. Clearly a management problem, they should be fired, retrained, or replaced. But food is still good quality WHEN THEY ARE OPEN and the service is great from the team members. Tropical Smoothie Café is one of my go-to spots, especially for açaí bowls and smoothies. I come to this location pretty often, and my usual order is the açaí bowl or the Avocolada smoothie. The Avocolada is hands-down the best item on the menu for me—rich, creamy, and refreshing with the perfect balance of avocado, pineapple, and coconut. It’s hard to top. I’ve tried other items like their quesadillas or alternate smoothies, but nothing compares.
That said, there are some consistent issues that keep the experience from being five-star. One of the main frustrations is the receipt process. Almost every time I visit, I have to ask for my receipt. On multiple occasions, I’ve been told the printer is down, which means I can’t earn points through the app. It’s disappointing, especially as a regular customer who enjoys using the rewards program. Even when the system is working, offering a receipt doesn’t seem to be a priority at this location—it’s rarely automatic and often feels like an afterthought.
Despite that, the staff is generally friendly and the drive-thru is convenient. But for those who rely on rewards or just want a smooth ordering process, that lack of consistency with receipts is something to be aware of.

I read a lot of negative reviews about the food quality and staffing attitudes but thankfully I didn’t seem to get the attitude and or lack of food today. I just moved to Kyle from Plano where I would have Tropical Smoothie pretty often. So, I already know what I like. Today I ordered on the app for curbside asap. After I placed my order I realized I submitted my order right at 12:30pm. So I prepared myself to wait really long. A long line wrapped around the building so I could not actually park for curbside in the front. I went in and a few people were waiting. My order wasn’t ready but they did tell me it was being worked on. My smoothie was made within a minute of me waiting and given to me immediately. Staff did seem a little frazzled but it was lunch rush with only 4 employees total that I could see. I got my food about 2 minutes after my smoothie and checked my order. The buffalo chicken wrap was fine, my salad looked fine, and drink was good. When I got home I did notice there wasn’t as much dressing for my salad as I thought. I read the salads were itty bitty, but mine was a lot. The picture doesn’t do justice of how much is actually in the bowl. I do wish there was more chicken but I’m sure I would have not eaten all of it had there been more. My mother in law said her buffalo chicken wrap was really good. I’m glad we didn’t have the experience others had, and maybe that’s just training in progress there. I will continue to visit more often and hopefully it will get better for everyone else. Oh and ask for more dressing on the side if you get salads for now.

First time ordering from this place is was missing an item I ordered and PAYED for. I placed a 2nd order again a week later and once i placed my order I called right after to let them know last time they forgot an item if they can make sure it dnt happen again the girl said yes Im making your order now… well to my surprise once I got my order delivered to my place they had given me chips instead of my 2 salads I asked for and I can tell you that was done on purpose just because I called to make sure my order was right. And I do understand how that can come off and sound so I made sure I was very polite when I called and the worker just seemed so annoyed but if im paying for something I expected to receive it and once again I didn’t. So NEVER AGAIN they lost a customer.. I went on TikTok and found out how to make everything from here at home now I dnt have to worry about missing items.

Pretty slow, but I believe it’s all made fresh to order so that makes sense. I went through the drive through and there were two cars in front of me and it took 25 minutes to get up to the window. I got the buffalo chicken wrap and a strawberry margarita smoothie. They were pretty good with good flavor and it was about $13 for the combo that came with a side as well.

I cannot make sense of this store. Numerous times I’ve driven up during what is supposed to be business hours only to either find an empty store with the lights on and door locked or I sit in the drive thru thinking they’re open and I finally see someone try the door and it’s locked. Every single time, the sign on the door and Google says they’re open. Clearly poorly managed and I hope corporate realizes what this store is doing to their reputation as a whole.

The smoothies themselves were solid. Wish there were more choices in size. My wife who is gluten and dairy free was able to eat here so it was nice to all be able to eat together at one place
