Very small and cozy little sandwich shop. The employees are very friendly and helpful. Very good prices. The cheese steak left you with more to be desired. It was good, but the amount of meat on the sub was kind of disoppointing. As far as we could tell, all the meat gets microwaved. Heard the door open about 8 times while waiting. All in all, a good place to eat is not too high of a price. If you are hungry, be prepared to order more.

I came in on Christmas eve because I was out running errands. Never been there before but I know I’m not coming back. I walk in and there’s a heavy visible haze in the air. I was like okay, whatever. After that I go to order just wanted a 12in cheese steak. I ordered it to go and was handed a sheet like I was the one taking the order. After I filled it out without instruction my friend backed out of the order after seeing what I had to do to order. I then sat down and kept hearing a beeping while my sandwich was being made, just to check the reviews and see that someone complained about their food being cooked in the microwave. I put two and two together and when I received my cheesesteak it was cold. The meat was squared and strait from a freezer that I could have made at home. The cheese was gray, and the bread was soggy yet stale. I’d rather go eat subway than this place. All that and somehow this place gets “best reviews of 2025”. Health inspector would have a field day as well as a company picnic here.

Best sub shop in town. Best soups in town. You won’t find a cleaner place to eat and everything taste fresh cause it is. Hard to find good mom & pop shops like this anymore.

There’s nothing like a good hoagie from your hometown, and this place did not disappoint! The bread was so soft & fresh & the ingredients were delicious!! I’m so glad I decided to stop in here while I was visiting my parents over the weekend. And you can’t beat the price!

If you’re hungry and want good food at a decent price, Hat’s is the place to go. A variety of soups daily. Subs and sandwiches hit the spot with a side of fries or cheddar cheese spudz. Their hoagie bread is pillowy soft. I like they have combo meal options. I’ve never had a bad meal. I think they’re a hidden gem of Chambersburg.
