Amazing community and food!! The staff make you feel very welcome in all the ways! I just wish the ribs were smoke or grilled with some BBQ Sauce on them because I love a sticky rib! But nothing negative to say about the restaurant.

My husband and I just had the best meal at Lone Ox Smokehouse! The ribs were fall off the bone with tasty bbq sauce. Every side was seasoned perfectly. We had cabbage & greens, potato salad, beans and rice, and coleslaw- all packed with flavor. Some of the best food we’ve had in Iowa since moving here. The service was wonderful, 10/10 experience. We’re in Lone Tree for the week and we’ll definitely be back for more. We also plan to make the trip out from Iowa City in the future, totally worth the drive. Thank you!

I just came in for dinner last night and was blown away by the hospitality, kindness of the staff/owners, and quality of food. I wish I could eat here every meal of the day! The food was amazing!! They had some great drink specials going on too! I cannot recommend this place enough!!

What a gem! Lone Tree is lucky to have the Lone Ox. Not only do they have multiple vegan options, but the owners are super passionate about community building. I wish I lived closer so I could go more often. Love this place!
