Seeing all of the posts about Floyd’s Burger Joint in Smyrna coupled with my craving for a burger this afternoon…road trip! Went to the walk-up and met Tinsley who opened the window with a smile and answered my questions about the burgers. I went for the Double Smashburger and the onion rings as a side. When it comes to smash burgers…these folks know what they are doing. First…you’ll need a bib as this burger is juicy, flavorful, and “crispy” around the edges. The Floyd’s Famous sauce was a great compliment to the burger…you really don’t need anything else. The onion rings were OK…not my favorite, but I am a snob when it comes to my onion rings. I believe this is one of the BEST smash burgers around…hands down. Great food and excellent, friendly service!

The food is excellent. The buns that they use on their chicken sandwich and smash burger really makes their sandwiches special – pair that with fresh vegetables and you have a superior burger restaurant here at Floyd’s. Don’t pass this place up. Minus 1 star because they didn’t include our order of chili cheese fries with the order ☹️They repeated our order back at the window so we had high hopes that the order was accurate but when we got home and opened the bag….no chili cheese fries.

Went to Floyd’s today to give this place a try.
1st and foremost – this is hands down the BEST burger you will have anywhere near here.
The crust on the patties – their Floyd’s sauce. Y’all. It’s ridiculous. Just enough of the good ole’ greasy mess on your hands and the paper wrapping.
I was reluctant to believe all the hype but I am absolutely glad I did. They aren’t wrong.
Had to try their onion rings and fries too. Why? Well -Why not?
Not disappointed in this either. Remember the good ole dairy shacks that made them homemade real dipped onion rings. Just a little sweet kick but not that sonic sugar mess. Just enough to make you go, DAMN! Them crinkle fries, YES! Crunch like it should be.
My only suggestion is don’t get the lettuce on it. No reason for it and it just is wilt anyway. But I am still not complaining, that’s just a personal preference.
I don’t care where y’all live. This is one of those road trip spots. Drive an hour or two. Doesn’t matter. You will just be in foodie heaven when you look in your bag, unfold that greasy paper wrap and take the bite that will change your cheeseburger life.
Trust me on this! Go, Go now! Don’t walk, just run!

Well, my wife and I finally went to Floyd’s. I heard they had good burgers, and my name is Loyd, so I was hoping they would represent.
And…the burgers were not just good, they were AMAZING. Tasty and perfect. The onion rings became my favorite rings EVER. I know what I said-EVER.
I got the Floyd combo with jalapenos, and my wife got the double smash burger combo with fries. We agreed that Floyd’s will be a place we frequent often. Next time, I’m getting a shake.

I finally got to try this place . They took an old checkers across from Nissan gate 3 on Nissan Dr and made it cute . So it is drive-thru only. They offer Smash burgers similar to Karen’s Custard . I had the Double Smashburger with everything it was tasty, messy and had a good char taste. The fries are crinkle /skinny kind of with a coating . I prefer the reg crinkle but these were good . I will try the onion rings next time . The prices were right inline with others . Got a combo for less than $14. They also have a full food menu and milkshakes too . I will def be going back . We need this in the Boro .

Second time at Floyd’s and it was just as good as the first time.
Everything feels like it is cooked to order with how hot everything comes out. Food is phenomenal. I would recommend getting some Floyd’s sauce on the side, it’s great!

Floyd’s is the best burger I’ve found since escaping the Chicago area five years ago. Everything on the menu is top notch drop dead delicious!! We drive an extra few miles off the route to stop here when traveling through Nashville.

My first time at Floyd’s was yesterday during lunchtime. I ordered 1 Double Smash burger (no combo).
The great?
That burger was great, no doubt about it! The best I’ve had in a while.
The less-than-great?
Drive through wait time (about 5 cars ahead of me). I’m willing to wait for a better product being cooked fresh (and I did), but just understand it’s not like the conveyor belt places if you’re in a rush.
Price. With tax, I paid $9.97 for that one burger. I’m willing to pay more for better food quality and, admittedly, maybe I’m still getting used to today’s price increases, but that just seemed a bit high.
But overall? Yes, I’ll be back and would definitely recommend to others (actually, I already have when I got back to work).
* I’ve been back several times since and wanted to update this.
I’ve now been ordering the Single Smashburger @ $5.99.
Initially for cost, but I’ve found that I actually like the Single better. The flavors seem to be more balanced. Never thought I’d say that about a burger!!
