Not too bad of a restaurant/bar. Food is a little pricey. The waitresses are great!
They have a great garbage burger but won’t even consider taking off anything if you order it. Yet, they will remove toppings off anything else. The bar booth seats are really broken down and hard to sit in. Bathrooms are always dirty or not working.

A breath of fresh air for Fife Lake. April is the new owner of The Upper Bar and Grill. She has brought back cleanliness, great tasting food and excellent service to the area. As far as I am concerned, April has set a new standard for Fife Lake. Well done! We had the wet burrito for lunch and it was delicious…not a drop left on our plates. The next time you are in Fife Lake and are looking for some great food, or a refreshing adult beverage, be sure to check out The Upper bar and grill. You will Not be disappointed.

And still, a year later..having been there several times in the past year.. food, service, cleanliness are absolutely .
Congratulations, April, on your first year in business!!

Off the beaten path, next to Fife Lake, is this hidden gem! They offer a Silver dollar sized chicken & waffle appetizer, picture worthy, cause it was too cute! Burgers cooked to perfection. But it’s the VERY courteous staff that provided a knock out welcome, for these newbies! We enjoyed a round of pool, while we waited for our food. IPA on tap, which provides the opportunity to try something new! We will be back.

Not in the mood much for Pizza but when I am I want to have a Good one. After a friend heard all about how we have to try the Pizza @ The Upper Bar,they have the old recipe from the Sugar Bowl. Best Pizza around. He even went out of his way to directly talk to the woman. She seemed to be very proud of the well known pizza recipe. Even down to not making it in a oven ECT she uses a stone oven I was so so excited my mouth watered all day. Well I was VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED. It wasn’t cooked evenly some of the toppings weren’t even warm or the pizza itself wasn’t very warm, not enough cheese on it & was very doughy & wasn’t very flavorful.

We only came in once under the old name and ownership. We were less than impressed and never came in again. When we learned that April, from Yankee Boy, had purchased the bar, we decided to check it out. What a difference! We’ve since been in several times and have enjoyed the food and drinks on every visit. The perch is always perfectly seasoned and cooked. The Offroad and Blueberry Bourbon Pie are excellent drinks!

We got here just in time. Had the pizza, a salad and some stuffed tater tots. The waitress was very funny and engaging. Staff and customers were very welcoming and everyone seemed to want to chat. There was one strange fellow who seemed to think he kept seeing unicorns, but we just ignored him.
Overall, this was a slam dunk selection, and I am so glad we made it in time. We have been all around the world and have never found staff more accommodating then the people who work at the Upper Bar and Grill.

A friend and I went last week for dinner and got the special (Hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes). Food was awesome, REAL MASHED POTATOES…not freeze dried/boxed! The price is very reasonable. Also, they updated the decor, it is homey. If we’re hungry and in the area we will come here. And I advised you to do as well.

A few years ago, local Fife Lake resident April (Baut) LaMar, purchased this establishment and has dynamically created something “new & improved” in a building that has been in place for generations.

While the “Upper Bar” name pays homage to the location reference of where the building sits within the Village Of Fife Lake, the menu and food quality far exceed your traditional bar food experience.

An excellent mix of menu items from the fryer, to the grill, to homemade, to excellent pizza, to unique desserts and much more!!!

I highly recommend a visit to The Upper Bar & Grill and experience this for yourself!
