I once sobbed in gym class trying to explain to my cousin how AMAZING the Mochiko Chicken is. I am HEARTBROKEN that this restaurant sent from Heaven is closed. I will forever regret only being able to come here twice. I am distraught.

The Mochiko chicken was really good. The sauce had notes of both sweet and subtle heat. The rice was seasoned in the same fashion as Polynesian rice, which was very slightly sweet. The meal had a generous portion of sauce drizzled over it, which made for an exceptional treat! The crab potato salad had a good texture, which for me means that it was NOT seasoned mashed potatoes. The dish has artificial crab meat, but if they used real crab meat it wouldn’t be priced reasonably under $4.00. I’m also a big fan of Hawaiian food, particularly the staples on the plate. Macaroni salad is a standard and theirs was quite tasty. The only thing better was the customer service and atmosphere. Very family friendly, and entertaining on this warm and early summer evening. Definitely worth a visit. My honest review is that Moscow, Idaho is coming up with their “foodie scene” for a small rural community. Nice people, relaxed atmosphere and welcoming.

This was the first time eating here and I had no idea what to expect, I can’t say I’ve ever had Hawaiian food. I ordered the Machiko chicken and it was great, I even loved the rice and I’m not usually a big fan of rice. My wife ordered the Char Siew chicken. My son ordered their crispy chicken sandwich that was fried with a red hot Cheeto crust, I snuck a bite and had a little good envy, I’ll try it myself next trip.

The food was amazing!!! My bf and I have been wanting to try Malo’s for over a year now. We finally decided to go and got the works plate, so we could try everything. 10/10 recommend going here and getting food!! The food is amazing and the workers were so friendly.

I ordered The Works, because who does not love going to a new place and being able to order a meal that has “a little of everything”. I am a firm believer that all restaurants need this as an option on their menu.
First off, this will feed 3-4 people easy. Left-overs is not usually a word in my vocabulary, but the amount of food I got for $35 is insane. Not only was the amount insane, the quality of the food was insane as well. All 4 meats were cooked and seasoned to perfection and I would tell you to get all of them. I tried to pick a favorite, but each of them were so great I truly did not have one. I would take a bit one one of them and say “oh that’s my favorite, I want to keep some of that for my last bite.” But then I would eat one of the other pieces of meat and say the same thing. I also had rice and mac salad for days. Needless to say I will be going back.

I could eat here everyday! You get huge portions of freshly made food in a short wait time. Its always steaming hot and tastes amazing. This is the Kalua Pig, its a sweet and salty perfection! The staff here is always friendly and educational on different dishes as well as local fun things to do in the area. Dining in is great too, I love the environment here.
