I had been wanting to stop in since Heng Seng opened, and tonight three of us finally went for dinner.

While I’ve eaten and cooked many cuisines from East and Southeast Asia, I have had relatively little experience with Khmer (Cambodian) food, which made the visit especially exciting for me.

For appetizers we ordered the fried dough, which is essentially identical to Chinese youtiao, and the Kaw Ko with bread. The Kaw Ko was outstanding—deeply flavorful beef stew gravy filled with generous chunks of beef and carrots, served with crisp, crusty yet fluffy bread that was perfect for soaking up the rich sauce.

My fellow diners both ordered the large Traditional Kuy Teav soup, Phnom Penh style, and they thoroughly enjoyed it. The pork broth is flavorful but intentionally mild, allowing diners to customize it with condiments. Both of them added chili crisp oil, hoisin sauce, fresh chiles, and soy sauce to season it to their liking.

On our next visit they both plan to try the dry noodles or possibly order a full portion of the Kaw Ko.

I ordered the Kuy Teav Kouk (dry noodles), Phnom Penh style, and absolutely loved it. The dish is served with the pork bone broth on the side, which I found perfect. I added chili crisp and chili oil to the noodles and mixed everything together.

The dry style gives you a wonderful range of textures—soft noodles, assorted meats and offal, crisp bean sprouts and coriander—followed by sips of the rich pork broth. It makes for a truly satisfying and balanced dining experience.

To drink, I had tea and the pandan limeade, which was refreshing and delicious.

Service was impeccable. We were greeted warmly, seated promptly, and our food arrived fresh, hot, and beautifully prepared.

I would highly recommend Heng Seng Noodles to anyone. If you enjoy the flavors of Vietnamese or Thai cuisine, you’ll find Cambodian flavors familiar—but also pleasantly and interestingly different.

We visited Heng Seng Noodles last night for the first time. We had an amazing server named Ivy who was kind enough to go over the menu with us. We started with the spring rolls. A perfect appetizer for 2. The filling was made with pork and shrimp and the dipping sauce gave the right amount of sweet and sour. My husband had the Dry Beef Noodles with a mix of egg and rice noodles (which comes with beef, tripe and meatballs) and a side of broth to eat. The broth was rich with flavor and the noodles had a flavor that harmonized with each ingredient. I had the Crispy Noodle with Chicken and requested extra veggies. I was a little apprehensive with the gravy that came with the dish, but in the end it was worth it. Ivy gave a lovely description of the food and I was sold. The noodles were crispy, the veggies and chicken hot with the gravy on the bottom. As I ate my meal the noodles slowly soften and it was like I was eating a brand new dish in every bite. The meal was fantastic and the service was excellent! This is a must try of you haven’t already. We will definitely return.

Love the food and service here. They gave us a run through of the menu after knowing it’s our first time here. Everything feels cooked fresh with great flavor. We enjoyed every dish that we ordered and don’t miss out on their drinks. I ordered coconut Pandan cloud which tastes refreshing especially after trying their homemade pickled pepper (I love it but it’s SPICY).

Very cute atmosphere and delicious Cambodian food. Not totally authentic (saying this as someone who has lived in Cambodia), but it’s fine because the dishes are elevated and higher quality. Highly recommend getting the bean curd appetizer and the curry special was delicious. The special loc lac was also delicious, but definitely not traditional.

Went to heng seng noodles today and WOW! Totally blown away by how amazing these dishes were. We got the Hae Zohr and Kaw Ko w/ bread for appetizers then the Saté Noodle Soup i went with wide egg noodle. The flavors of everything were so well balanced and rich. You could taste the nuances of ingredients in each bite. I could have eaten 100 Hae Zohrs! I will definitely be back.

Food was delicious, service was polite and quick, atmosphere was great.

We tried Heng Seng Noodle and ordered the beef lemongrass with wide rice noodles, the satay noodle (thin rice noodles + wide egg noodles), plus a beef skewer and the coconut juice with pandan foam.

Out of the three noodle types we tried, I’d definitely recommend the wide rice noodles the most. They have the most unique texture and really capture the sauce well.

The beef skewer was solid and nicely seasoned, carrying that gentle Southeast Asian–style sweetness, and paired well with the noodles. The coconut juice has this very special pandan foam. It is lightly sweet, fragrant, and refreshing.

The atmosphere was cozy and pleasant, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Wow, so delicious!! My husband went for lunch and then immediately brought me back the next day, and it did not disappoint! We ate the appetizers before remembering to take photos lol – the Hae Zor was great and the beef skewers were so flavorful and smoky! Our soup entree had a really unique complex flavor with the gentlest spice, and the noodle dish was sooo tasty kind of like a Thai drunken noodle. The decor of the restaurant was really nice and service was good. We will totally be back to try more. Love having unique cuisines like this in my hometown!

We will definitely be back !!

Our server was quick, attentive, and helpful in answering all our questions. The decor and aesthetic of the restaurant was super cute creating such a pleasant atmosphere.

For appetizers we got an order of spring rolls and grilled beef skewers which were both amazing and flavorful. For drinks we both got the pandan limeade, which we were kindly given a sample of and fell in love. I got the house special crispy egg noodle. The texture of the crispy noodles was perfect and balanced well with the gravy and protein.

This will definitely become a regular spot for me and my family 🙂

Finally made it to Heng Seng in Cherry Hill and before we even paid our bill we were plotting our return. Delicious food, fast, friendly, and down to earth service, cute atmosphere AND delightful coffee drinks.

We had Hae Zhor, Saté Noodles (fall special), and Lort Cha to eat, and a Vietnamese Iced Coffee with Pandan Foam and a Pandan Coffee with Coconut Foam.

Everything was cooked so well, had a great depth of flavor, and we loved the house chili oil – we even boughta jar to take home! Definitely recommend!
