This restaurant is truly one of a kind. From the moment you walk in, you feel an atmosphere that’s unlike anywhere else — warm, inviting, and full of character.

Serving incredible flavors from Southeast Asia and the Pacific Rim, every dish feels thoughtful and unique. It’s a place that’s always been dear to my heart, not just for the amazing food, but for the experience and memories that come with every visit.

A special spot that I’m always grateful to return to every summer!!

East of Suez is a comfortable restaurant serving Asian Fusion on Rt.28 in Wolfeboro. I want to give them 3 1/2 stars but google won’t do that. We were seated in the main room at the back in a nicely sunlit room with a lovely view of the back yard and woods. Our waiter brought us the house “chips” which look like a fried foam. They are very tasty with a hint of shrimp flavor.

East of Suez is BYOB and does not serve any alcohol, not even beer or wine. We did not know this and there is no mention of it on their website. Our waiter said they do provide setups and many of the other diners around us had wine and liquor.

For starters we ordered the Summer Rolls which come with a “wild Gulf shrimp”. The rolls were filled with rice noodles, Thai basil and a halved shrimp. They were served with a light, but tasty dark purple sauce.

My wife had their Pad Thai and said it was the best Pad Thai she’d ever eaten. I had a couple of tastes and I agree. The sauce was velvety and the noodles were perfectly cooked. She also liked that it had more shrimp than chicken.

I ordered the Japanese Tempura. It arrived with a bowl of white rice and dipping sauce. I asked for hot sauce and after tasting the dipping sauce I wanted soy sauce as well. Neither arrived. The dipping sauce, while flavorful, was dull and was in serious need of salt, which was not available. The rice was nice and sticky, but dull as well. The tempura shrimp and veggies was as you would expect with tempura, and this is why I only want to give them 3 1/2 stars. My meal was boring, boring, boring, and I couldn’t get the condiments I wanted because our waiter never returned.

East of Suez has a very interesting menu and other selections I’d like to try and I am certain we will visit them again. I am also certain I won’t be ordering the tempura. Hopefully, we will also have a more attentive waiter.

Great food and experience. Been years since i was here, still good. Make reservations. Many visits, BYOB. So different. Great atmosphere.

Great “Pan-Asian” food during the heat of the summer. Screen porch dining is the best, or…..the “group room” for a festive semi-private night out!! At the end of the Summer Season (heading into fall), they have a special end-of-season buffet with some talented young jazz musicians !!

How did I just find out about this place last year?! The food is fresh and bold! I love the screened in dining room. The end of the year buffet is AMAZING! Great place, and great people.

Unique BYOB restaurant that is a must try at least once. It is a bit confusing going in and getting seated but once you are inside it has a Sweet homey romantic setting with cozy dinning perfect for a first date or special night out.

I was told I had to try this spot for its amazing spicy food and was told we would have leftovers to spare, sadly this was not the case.

Though the menu is diverse and brings ethnic foods to the area as well as catering to both GLUTEN FREE and VEGAN options, there was no flavor to draw us back for more. The food, though good, only contained subtle hints of spices leaving us wanting more. There was also no hot factor and definitely no left overs with smaller portions which was boasted from previous dinners.

Overall once our orders where in the staff was prompt, having everything out at the perfect timing from the apps, to the salad, to the meal.

Definitely don’t forget the wine! But if you do their beverages are the most flavorful thing on the menu! We absolutely loved them!

Price & portion size are great. Food we had was good. Great thing about this place is that you can BYOB and enjoy on the cover porch.

Having driven past this restaurant for years and always seeing the parking lot full I finally got around to going to try it out.

The ambience is nice and luckily it was a cool day when we visited because it does not appear that they have air conditioning. But the screened in patios provided a nice cool breeze.

The food came out quickly, but I did not find it as impressive as I would have thought from how crowded it usually is. The meals that my son and I had were both very greasy.

Apparently it is a BYOB establishment because most of the people coming in we’re bringing bottles of various libations.

Not recommend. Service was good but place was very dirty and food was poor quality and greasy. Order $27.00 steak which was maybe 4 oz with half cup rice, warm lettuce slice…. Overall bad experience and would not go back.
