Food was great, waitress was wonderful. The atmosphere was good until a passive aggressive KAREN had something to say to my wife while I was outside with my kids saying “how can two kids make that big of a mess, obviously you’re not from Haines.” If anyone was here tonight 7/24/24 between 8-10, let this KAREN know since she is a local, “if you haven’t walked in our shoes then you really shouldn’t start being a passive aggressive snob with a silver spoon you know where, think before you speak, maybe that family has been having an awful day, maybe ask if you can help them with something.” Our car engine blew a head gasket and we had to figure out how to get back home from Lake Labarge with no car, we had to hitch hike with kids, we had to pay for a bus to find out there was a rock slide on Skagway boarder, then we finally got a ride with everything we own out of the car and paid for gas to make it to Haines so we can get back home on the ferry. If you can’t be humble to people KAREN then keep your thoughts to yourself so no one has to listen to the garbage coming out!

I don’t normally write reviews but the Lighthouse Restaurant in Haines is awesome! I had the salmon tacos with a house salad and my husband ordered the shrimp linguini. Both dishes were very delicious. Service is awesome as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant ❤️❤️❤️

On a trip through Alaska we passed through Haines and decided to have “bar food” at the harbor bar. The bar shares the kitchen with the adjacent lighthouse restaurant. Quite simply, they knocked it out of the park.
For lunch I had the New England style chowder. The best I’ve ever had! For dinner? The best fish (halibut) and chips I’ve ever had.
The service was fast and friendly. Not sure if I’ll ever be back to Haines but I could not be more impressed.

Great atmosphere, my bartender was fantastic and the food which is from the shared kitchen with the Lighthouse restuarant was delicious. Chatted with some locals and had a good time. Mardis Gras in August!
