We were there on opening day and it was excellent! Hard to believe this is a tent, it was very nicely done. My favorites were the crab cakes, key-lime pie and ranch water. Prices were very reasonable for a full service experience at the Rodeo, cheaper than the old Ranch concept that it replaced that was at the Rodeo last year. Service was great, drinks were strong and food was delicious. What more could you ask for?!

While our server was amazing, the experience was basically ruined by the manager Joshua gilbreath. I was formerly employed with the other restaurant under his charge. By all accounts my departure from the company was on good terms! However after the hostesses seated us, he accused us of seating ourselves and attempted to kick us out after we had already ordered food “because we did not have a reservation.” The reservation was made the evening prior, but had somehow “disappeared.”
That said, again our service was good but this blatant retaliation by a former manager ruined the evening for not only me, but my partner and his family who simply wanted a nice night at the rodeo.

Disappointed. Waited an hour to be sat despite having a reservation on a Rodeo WEDNESDAY. Also, I feel like last year this place was focused more on the fine dining aspect. Now that there’s new ownership they’ve shifted focus on expanding the rowdy saloon bar vibe, while trying to maintain the fine dining atmosphere. It just doesn’t mix well. It was super loud and chaotic. Sitting at a table with white cloth while listening to drunk college kids roam around the space was not the experience I thought it was going to be based on their misleading marketing. Food and drinks are great, execution is quite terrible. New management on the block: Don’t try to fix something that’s not broken, you’re going to ruin something that was once good.

The Cattleman’s Club is perfect for the Houston Rodeo! We enjoyed our filet mignon, salmon, and the best carrot cake in town. And a retail shop to die far…will definitely be back.

Met with great hospitality, ambiance and cold a/c! Popped in for a drink waiting to meet up with friends before the rodeo started. Somehow snagged a bar top that was being cleared — was promptly met with great service, tasty drinks that weren’t an under or over pour! Paloma on the Range, TX 75 & 1932 Ranch Water were our crowd favorites — bartender also made us an off-menu mocktail equally delightful. Enjoyed the ambiance and cowboy couture, wish we could have indulged further, next time will be making reservations the food looked awesome. By the time we left, crowds were starting to pile in.
