Don’t judge this place by one visit a guest had that was subpar. Bazille and all Nordstrom kitchens are Very, Very good at what they do. If by any chance, as a special, they are serving the Crispy Chicken Sandwich with apple onion slaw and that sweet glaze, trust this review and order it. Their pizzas are delicious. Dough is proofed just like any real pizzeria and baked in a brick oven. The Bazille burger (if it’s still available) made with Pat LaFrieda ground beef is also top tier. Their soups are spectacular. If you haven’t tried Bazille in GSP give them a try. It is undoubtedly underrated and the hidden gem of Bergen County! Btw, you might not have to wait for a table, but if you do, they will accommodate you in a timely manner.

This is genuinely the worst pizza I’ve ever had in my entire life, DO NOT get the margherita pizza. It’s low quality, extremely undercooked, and the Parmesan cheese was overwhelming. The service was also extremely mediocre.

We had 2 great meals here. We ordered the chicken taco appetizer, French onion soup which I swear was made from scratch and the mushroom ravioli. Main dish portions are big and the soup is a meal in its own. The sweet Visalia onions, croutons and gruyere cheese is wonderful, it is sweet though. The mushroom ravioli was amazing, the Parmesan sauce and sun dried tomatoes were very tasty and the portion was 7 or 8 ravioli we took 4 back to our hotel. Service was slow but you can see the sound from the restaurant and that was nice even though it was snowing.

Chicken was fair to good and my wife got the shrimp salad. She said it was also good. Flavors were so-so in the chicken plate and it seemed like some of the nuts used were a little on the old side. All in all a good experience, but they have room for improvement.

Love this place !!! Wonderful employees – always so friendly and helpful !!! The food is always fabulous !!! Today I bought takeout – the pulled pork tacos with toppings and the chicken and beet salad !!! I highly recommend Bazille at Nordstrom’s at the Garden State Plaza !!!

15 years ago I worked at Nordstrom and would always order the cilantro salad with chicken. Haven’t had this in a long time and was in the mall so I decided to order for pick up.
Atmosphere: this place is no longer as upscale as it used to be. It reminds me of a pitstop food court, it smelled like feet and the workers look a bit disheveled. Not their fault but their uniforms looked unclean and does not fit what a restaurant inside Nordstrom should look like.
Service: no one greeted me I stood by the hostess table and eventually walked in by the end of the bar as I saw my food waiting for me. I checked to make sure my food was correct and asked the server if I could have more salad dressing as it looked like my container wasn’t filled all the way. She said that I would have to wait for another server and that it would be an extra charge. An extra charge for dressing for a $20 salad is absolutely insane. At first I was ok with it but they wanted me to wait and go through paying and waiting for a check I didn’t have time for it.
Food: this salad with chicken took 30 minutes for it to be ready for pick up and sadly was disappointed. The chicken was definitely cooked in the morning and regrilled I haven’t had rubbery chicken like this since back when I was in college it tasted very bland and gave me such a nasty after taste. They were super stingy with the amount of lettuce and it only filled the container half way. The only good thing is that the cilantro dressing is still just as good as I remember but my salad was still dry because it wasn’t enough to cover the small salad that they gave me.
In conclusion my nostalgia and my amazing memory of this place is completely ruined and I will never return.

Server was great, but service was ok. Slow to pickup empty dishes and had to get my own silverware. Had the beef ragu with tortellini and it was room temperature and the tortellini was way overcooked. And the wild salmon was super overcooked. Bad experience overall.

Since when are you charged a $1.25 for an extra crostini when you purchase a BOWL of soup (not filled up) and receive just one?! I get 1 crostini for a cup of soup but seriously….and the soup tasted like I was eating a tin can. Don’t nickel and dime your customers Nordstrom…you won’t survive by taking advantage of others. I won’t be back. It’s a matter of principle. Update: two women were complaining about same thing and walked out (they won’t be back also). You just lost a minimum of 3 customers.
