The Great American Diner lives on! We came on a chill Monday for a late breakfast. The food preparation was definitely a cut above your standard diner, and they have way more than just potatoes and fruit to go with your meal – you get two sides with most meals, and you can choose from home fries, RICE, fruit, refried BEANS, tomatoes, cottage cheese, toast, TORTILLAS, or a (large) HOTCAKE! Lunch comes with french fries, fried ZUCCHINI, homemade potato salad (yum!), or fruit. Excellent fast service by their really lovely staff, and fun 50s music in the air. Come on down to Bitzy’s! It’s a great everyday spot for locals.

The owner is a former employee of the now-closed The Local Spot and brought the staff and the cook from that establishment to open this restaurant. The restaurant is named after her grandmother.
I had the steak and eggs. The steak was cooked to order and was perfect. The eggs were spot on. They have homemade jelly for the toast, and it has the perfect amount of sweetness.
I am looking forward to going back.

First time visiting. Super clean, great staff, coffee and food. First time I was asked how I wanted my egg cooked on my egg sandwich. Found out the patty sausage was hand made. Also found out they grind their own coffee. Bonus – utensils are not flimsy and cheap and the r bathroom is very clean!!

The BEST locally owned breakfast and lunch spot that consistently delivers quality. Nothing trendy or flashy, just delicious food made with love. The food is fresh and flavorful and always hits the spot. Portions are more than enough, we always have leftovers except when we’re starving. Breakfast classics are cooked perfectly. My favorites are the steak and eggs, sausage Benedict’s, and the old fashioned Hobo omelette with their Spuds! Pancakes and French toast are also some of the best around. Oh and their banana, blueberry, and granola pancakes! Service is friendly, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. Parking lot is huge so there’s always parking! Amanda, the owner, is the sweetest person and has created a neighborhood gems with just the best atmosphere. Highly recommended!!

Very glad this lil spot is open!! It is open, bright and so welcoming. I went at 9am in desperate need of coffee and they did not disappoint! The coffee is delicious and strong (which I appreciate)
