We believe that the experience of eating hand rolls is truly something special and worthy of its own restaurant, so we created KazuNori — The Original Hand Roll Bar.® At KazuNori, our commitment to quality is unwavering, just as it is at SUGARFISH. We serve only the freshest fish, along with specially harvested seaweed, housemade sauces, and our signature warm rice. KazuNori is the first restaurant of its kind, and we think that eating one of our just-made hand rolls, with its crispy nori, warm rice, and delectable ingredients, will redefine what you think about sushi.

Kazanori is an amazing spot for hand-rolled sushi. The fish is always super fresh, and the menu is small but very direct and easy to navigate—no confusion, just great food. Their hand-rolls are absolutely delicious, and they often have daily specials that make each visit a little different. They also serve a really good house sake, a rice-based drink with alcohol that pairs perfectly with the sushi. The atmosphere is great too, with everyone sitting and eating around the bar-kitchen. Overall, fantastic food, fresh fish, great vibes—highly recommended!

Best sushi bar experience I’ve had. The wait was 45 minutes but as soon as I sat down, food was being served. We had the 6 hand rolls menu and were out in 30 minutes. Every roll came one at a time, warm rice, fresh fish and crunchy seaweed. Beer too was great. Absolutely delicious! The staff were super helpful and nice. Parking is difficult in the area, my I was able to find a spot. I’d go again anytime!

Been here multiple times over there years, other locations as well. This one is in a small strip mall. Parking can be crowded and difficult at times. Service is always great. Food is always great. Not a huge menu, but the pricing is decent and tip is included. They only serve the rolls one by one, they will deny your request to have all of them served at the same time. It’s understandable though, it’s their policy to serve everything fresh made so the seaweed is stays nice and crisp, the sushi rice warm and the fish cold. The perfect blend of flavors and textures. As a larger person with some physical disabilities, I hate the barstool seating which is all they have at every location I’ve been to. I don’t even think they have lowered countertop areas to accommodate those who are wheelchair bound.

Sushi is fresh and yummy. Very plain with nothing extra. The seaweed is fresh and crispy. The house sale is also quite tasty. Service is fast and easy even though the place is always packed . I mean there’s not much of an atmosphere it’s a simple Japanese place but the bar stools are not the most comfortable ones . Very easy and yummy place for lunch

I went to this place and was instantly blown away. We sat down and our server came right away. She showed us which rolls were raw or cooked and described them amazingly. $10 a roll. About $30 with a drink and 2 cucumber and 1 lobster rolls. Great experience!

I tried a few of their locations now and all of them are always busy- so you know they’re doing something right! Once inside seating are all bar stools surrounding the sushi bar which makes for quick service. I usually order the 4-5 hand roll sets here but you have the option to also order them individually. My go to are the scallop, yellowtail and sea bream. Enjoy!

So this is the sister restaurant of Sugarfish but just handrolls. They have a very simple menu with some pre-fixed items with 3-6 rolls options. I chose the one with 6 rolls. I probably could have done 5 but didn’t want to miss out on anything. 6 rolls included toro, yellowtail, salmon, bay scallops, crab and lobster.
If that sounds like a lot or you want a different kind of handroll you can also order them individually. It’s bar counter type seating, no reservations, so you just have to wait for a spot to open up and then they will seat you. Once you’re seated you place your order and they make the hand rolls right in front of you. They even tell you to eat it right away while the seaweed is crisp, the rice is warm and just overall fresh.
This has always been on my list but like Sugarfish they don’t take reservations so long lines tend to deter me so I’m not hangry. We went after 9pm so the wait wasn’t that long.
Staff is super friendly. The restaurant still has the decor of the old Sugarfish that is now at thr Sportman Lodge.

The worst possible staff working in the kitchen, how can i pick up my order which is marked ready and wait another 30 minutes for it to be ready? Ps no communication on when it will be ready whatsoever. Let me know if you need the receipts to get your things together

Hand rolls are freshly made right in front of you. It is a bar-like setting so you eat on a stool and the hand roll masters and servers are right in front of you. You have an option to order individual hand rolls pr sets of 3, 4, 6. Choose 6 if you are hungry. Really nice service and will surely go back. It might be busy sometimes so you may need to wait. Parking might be challenging. Overall, very good place to have hand rolls.
