I lived in Chester for three years as a student, and had never tried this place until my graduation week! Super, super impressed. It was so easy to order online for a timed pick-up, so many options to choose from, and they were so lovely when I came by to pick it up. The food was incredible, no complaints from anyone!

Amazing food everything I ordered was spot on! I called the restaurant as they forgot my drink, a girl called Saba was so lovely and polite and got the delivery driver to send me one out. Food wise don’t think twice and definitely order from here! If I come back to Chester this is a MUST on my list!!!!!

Ordered for collection on just eat. Food was prepared on time and was hot. Chicken Naga was very spicy and tasted of the chilli and the keema naan was thick and full of minced meat. This is one of the best hot curry takeaways I have had in a long time and 100% recommend

We fancied an Indian so found Karai Lounge via the Deliveroo app. Ordered at 19:13 and waited patiently. By 20:37, we were really hungry so we called up to see where the food was. They apologised it was late and said it would be there in 15 minutes along with some poppadoms as compensation for the wait. 21:10 I’m back on the phone asking where our food is and I’m told the driver is 5-7 minutes away, we explained we were unhappy with the service but they didn’t have much to say. By 21:22 the food had still not arrived, so my partner rang up and told them if it didn’t arrive in the next 5 minutes, we wanted a full refund as it had been over 2 hours since we ordered and were now ravenous. The customer service was poor and the lady on the phone didn’t really seem to care or offer to do anything more for us, even suggested that we should have ordered via their website and not Deliveroo for a better experience, yet it was their delivery driver providing delivery, not Deliveroo. Finally the food arrived at 21:28, 2hrs 15mins after we had ordered, my partner asked the driver where he had been and he blamed the local speed limits and laughed… Karai is only 2.1miles away from our house, and it’s mostly 30mph zones. Absolutely no excuse. The food thankfully was hot and delicious. It’s a shame that they produce such lovely food and let themselves down with their customer service and delivery times. Needless to say, I think we won’t be going back as reviews seem to consistently show they are unreliable with their delivery times.

Ordered a delivery last night at 6.30pm to be delivered at 8.20pm. I naiively assumed ordering in advance would allow for a timely delivery.
It got to 9pm and I called them up to ask where my order was and was told it would be at least another 35-45 minutes (so pushing 10pm for delivery). When I asked why, I didn’t really get any explanation which was extremely frustrating.
Needless to say, not wanting to eat at 10pm, I had no choice but to cancel the order which in itself proved difficult with me having to call them on a number of occasions before they actually authorised the refund.
It’s a shame because I’ve ordered from Karai before and the food is very good but due to this experience I won’t be ordering from them again in the future.

Food is ok here but the delivery times and service is consistently bad. I just had 1 starter, 1 main and 1 naan and it took 1h 40 mins. Phoned the restaurant and there was no apology. Won’t use again.
